@Lash,
Hmmm....
So Hillary is a Republican because so many former Republicans are supporting her.

You are a "former" Republican. You support Bernie. Other "former" Republicans are also supporting Bernie and donating to his campaign.

Do you see the same thing I do, Lash?

@parados,
See though, the thing you don't seem to understand is...
Bernie good, Hillary bad.

It's a sophisticated and complex formula - but it applies to any apparent contradictions or inconsistencies.

@Lash,
In the past, you've torqued yourself into knots trying to justify the repulsive policies of the Republicans. Didn't you vote for that chickenhawk (pardon me, warhawk) Bush a second time?

Maybe you just like taking a contrary position. Some people get off on considering themselves persecuted.

So based on all of that history, I'm not sure if you're a troll, or fifth-columnist. Either way, though, I have strong doubts about your sincerity on any of this.

@parados,
No, you have it wrong. She's a republican because of her republican behavior, her policies. The fact that Republicans find it easy to support her is just a clue.

But, those who can't discern her goddamn republican policies will probably be non-plussed anyway.

Got it. Anyone right of Bernie is a Republican, eh?

I think folks kinda sensed that he didn't want any of those votes, which is why he lost.

@Lash,
Therein lies your problem, Lash.

You don't know what a liberal is. When you were a hard core conservative, you attacked liberals for being some cartoon that you thought they were. Then when you became a "liberal" you became the cartoon version you thought we all were and attacked the rest of us liberals for not being the cartoon you used to say we all were. We haven't changed at all. You just never knew what being a liberal was all about.

@parados,
That actually clears some things up. Not that it will penetrate. But the "cartoon" characterization is very astute, and explains the sort of over-the-top quality about her stances that she probably thinks is passion.

@parados,
I was never a hard core conservative. I have always been socially liberal. I was a defense-oriented, Libertarian-leaning small government person who, in my case, realized we're paying for overkill of the world to the detriment of the daily lives of hardworking people.

I see our society has been rigged to oppress average people and enrich those at the top of the heap. I believe Chomsky and Sanders are right and I've believed it for years. Bernie offered a candidate that represented my beliefs. Obviously, quite a few others share my beliefs.

Hillary Clinton is the walking antithesis of what we believe, not just a disliked candidate, hence Bernie or Bust.

This is the logic. If you still need to fabricate stories because you can't tolerate the logic, do what you must to survive.

If you'd like to step away from disengenuous gaming and speak to what's happening politically, that'd be worth our time.

I'm just not what you like to pretend I am.

@maporsche,
You know what the damnable thing about all that is?
It's not that she changed her mind - everyone's of course entitled.
It's that her attitude goes from being an over the top, self righteous, abrasive, abusive asshat "conservative" who is totally intolerant and dismissive of liberals - to an over the top, self righteous, abrasive, abusive asshat "liberal"who is totally intolerant and dismissive of conservatives AND anyone not "liberal" enough. The transition is robotic; seamless. From one self-righteous blathering extreme to another. Strains credulity past the snapping point. She attributes it to being "passionate". I'd put it more as frighteningly desperate need for attention.

@maporsche,
But but somewhere along the way she saw the light of true liberalism and changed every single one of her positions 180 degrees. I must have missed that day. One day she is as all those quotes described, then, Hillary runs for President and suddenly she thinks Bernie Sanders is the second coming of Christ and Hillary is the anti-Christ.

I do hope that you have changed your views about republicans and democrats alike. Please keep in mind that many of them have been misled like you and I but many of them like my mother who is still a republican is not able to see any other way.
I still love her and she loves me, we have a close relationship. It hurts me to think that she votes against her own interest but I think it is part my fault for getting her to go to church when she was depressed. I think that many people in her church had an influence in her judgement. Rather than try to be open minded and think for herself she chose to believe.

@reasoning logic,
I have great respect for some Republicans here, and some in my family. The word Republican isn't a put down in and of itself as far as I'm concerned, but I'm sure when I point out Hillary's policies are much more in line with Republican policies than Democrat, it may be viewed as less than complimentary by certain Hillary bros skulking among the threads.
