Would you feel uncomfortable if a question was posed as an experiment? Would you feel you've been duped ? Who are your favorite A2k characters and why?

@edgarblythe,
There's got to be some you find particularly interesting. Not just the community as a whole.

@edgarblythe,
Do you think people play a role. For instance, some may consider to to be the fatherly role.

@tsarstepan,
Cute, but no cigar. Maybe others are not too afraid to step on toes.

No. People are wondering why a relative noobie is asking this possible loaded question considering your obvious clause:

Ok. So I don't mean to offend anyone. But..you've got people who play certain roles. For instance, Edgar seems to be fatherly and friendly. Some of the chicks are kick-butt, Romeo is tolerated but appreciated by some even if they don't agree with his viewpoint. But--I'd like to know from the participants whether newbies or long term members.

Okay. Here's the scoop. I f I tell you how much I love JTT, and that's all I say, the rest of my friends' feelings will get hurt and then I will have many fences to mend. Best to clam up beforehand.

@edgarblythe,
Yes. I understand you. That's the point. I want to see just how people are sustained by the pull of conventional even online. I wonder if there are those who don't strictly abide by those rules, or if public persona is stronger. Are there any out there who simply don't care what others think?

Many of my favorite characters have, unfortunately, passed away. Some that readily come to mind are Cavfancier, Noddy, Dutchy, Timberlandko, Dyslexia, JerryR, Lightwizard.

We have many more interesting characters who are still around. I'll leave it to others to point them out to you. If you stick around, you'll have opportunity to cross paths with them.

@Butrflynet,
Point is, read my last post. Social hierarchy even online is not something people cross over. You may say something about the departed , but there's is a strong sociological hold otherwise.

You don't have to be a member for a week to observe that there a lot of regulars here (who post 24 hours a day).

You're new to the internet, right? Of course the answer is yes to this question. A lot of us are regulars because we have many friends here at a2k. Many of us have met many others (IRL).

There are very few rules that are enforced here at a2k. The biggest one involves antispamming and antiphishing.
