A2K Remembers JerryR

I know it's been a long time since he posted, but JerryR had a heart attack and has passed. See: https://www.facebook.com/jerry.rosa.7737

I met him years ago and am wracking my brains for the details. He was a good cook (he worked as a private chef) and, when A2K was young, he offered to collate recipes. He was also a gay man and, yes, he was married, to his great love, Luis.

Jerry was born on May 25th, 1968. So, yeah -- sigh -- he was 44.

@jespah,
How very sad, he was too young! Sometimes you just don’t know if you’ll have another day.

Sorry for the loss of your friend, hugs!

@farmerman,
His Funny Pictures ***Slow Loading*** thread is still going strong after all this time.

Rest in Peace, Jerry. And much sympathy to Luis.

Awww, that's awful. I'm sorry for those of you who knew him; he has a nice face in that picture. 44 is WAY too young for a heart attack.

@jespah,
This is horrible news.

I've loved following Jerry's adventures by way of FB in the past couple of years, and he was an absolute pal when it come to cooking advice.

44. Horrible.

RIP Jerry.

@jespah,
I’ll bet he was a great chef!

I’ll be reading the threads he left behind, I’m sure I’ll find some great cooking tips from him.

@jespah,
Wow, I can't believe this!

I didn't know Jerry while he was on A2K, but rather got to know him recently on Facebook, through Littlek.

I was just laughing at the stuff he was posting on FB. He was always funny.

I'm very sorry to read of this, and hope that his partner, family, and friends will be able to cope.

I remember that he asked me about some recipes resp. how some recipes were done originally ...

It's really sad, rest in peace.

@jespah,
Chef, sure. I remember him as a2k's greatest peacemaker. Actually, I've been missing JerryR for many years, not being on FB.

How sad! I remember Jerry very well as a kind man. He and I had some e-mail discussions, years ago, when our son, as a teen, was considering pursuing a career as a chef, and he was very helpful. I had no idea he was so young!
