Lola at the Coffee House

The coffee house rests confidently on the corner of Bleecker and MacDougal in New York's Greenwich Village. Wassau, (pronounced Wa-zo), is the owner and he lives upstairs. When it's cold, Lola can sometimes be found on the sofa in front of the fire. It's a gathering place for friends and strangers. If you want to leave a message for Lola, just give it to Wassau.

Excuse me, Wassau, my friend Tico will have a drink..........or I think that's a drink. And Osso, come over here on the couch and snuggle up with your book. Now, I have to go out and see if that's Setanta wandering around on the corner looking for the cafe 101. Funny, I had almost forgotten it's name.

Welcome to all my friends.

@Lola,
Thanks for the welcome, Lola! It's not so crowded here as it is in my (until now) favourite Coffee & Tea Bar at Irving Place/Gramercy. A double espresso and a plain butter-croissant for me, please.

@Lola,
Love to be here with you, Lola...and will probably visit during the next few days. But there are no TV's here...and today is SuperBowl Sunday.

First things first. After San Francisco beats the piss out of the Ravens...I may stop back for something to warm me.

Good Dog, it is great to see some of the old regulars posting.

@Frank Apisa,
So true, Frank.

and I hope you're right about the niners.

I'm warming up some split pea/ham/hint of hot curry soup. Oddly delicious. Anyone want a bowl?
