Yeah its me taking things out of context, when the only way you can provide any fight for your bible, is by quoting a passage and then explaing it to YOUR context.

I am not known for brevity. I don't just quote one passage.

I usually lift a whole chapter and post it, then point to the passages that illustrate the point in the context of the chapter and book.

One of my nicknames is treekiller another is Tolstoy.

If a man came to you and said he was sent by God to save men from sin, would you simply believe him? It probably was convenient.

If a man came to me and said he was sent here by God, and I could see that he fulfilled over 300 prophecies in a book that was two thousands years old, I would have to really consider his words. Especially when one considers He was the only man in history who did this.

@rugonnacry,
Jesus fullfilled 300 prophecys. Okay lets not argue that point... What has he done in the last 2000 years that can ACTUALLY be proved? Answer....... nothing.... Still waiting here.

Well I have had a number of encounters with Him. From time to time has has spoken to me. Nothing very long, yet enought to change my life. He spoke to me once when I was just about to fall asleep, and He told me that He knew I was having a hard time living the life. And then He said, Tom if you continue to follow me, I will take care of you, and Tom I love you. I must say, I have had some wonderful experiences with Him. And you never know what His plans are for you, but I would not change my walk with Him for anything.
He is a powerful God, and I have a life time of experiences with Him, and I can tell you that all those stories in the Bible, they are all true.

Well I know it seems hard to believe, but I have never done the dope thing, yet if I started telling you of my experiences with God, you would have to believe I did. It just seems to me that the more you believe in Him, the more He shows Himself to you. I'm not some sinless person. I just believe in the power of God. When He does speak to me, it's never when I want Him to. It's kind of like He is always there and walking with you, and then one day He just decides to say something. The God of the Bible is a real God, and the Bible is filled with the stories of regular people like me that God speaks to from time to time. If you gave God half a chance, He might just speak to you to. It seems so many people spend their whole life trying to deny God, that they never get to know Him. Hes just waiting to hear from you, why don't you ask God to reveal Himself to you? When you start to really seek God, thats when God can really start to show you a few things. God just loves a person who is seeking Him. I got to tell you, He's really there. And all those stories in the Bible, there all true.

Some people NEED that entity looking out for them. All people get overwhelmed at times, and most need that entity to help them through.

How did you arrive at this conclusion?

Simple math.

In the beginning there were only two defective humans.
At the time of the flood there were millions.

Remember that I do not believe the flood happened the above is a logic trail to show why it does not make sense to believe in the flood.

You can't follow God the Father and make the types of blasphemous comments you've made. You are either attempting to fool us or fooling yourself.

While the Bible may be made of pulp from a tree, it is not the tree. The tree is not needed to discover evil. Evil lives in the hearts of men because men are fallen. Man and woman chose evil when they disobeyed God. God did not make them evil or incorporate evil in them.

You are saying that God is incompetent to create Perfect souls.
I say that God makes all souls Perfect.

You place your God in an inferior position to mine and you say I blaspheme.
Look again and see who is doing the blaspheming.

To a God who is infinitly powerful, numbers don't matter. He works by the infinite. There is a diference to us because we do have a limit.

God may not have limits but what % of Heaven would you think He is willing to loose to Hell.
Revelation says that He lost 1/3 of the angels of heaven. Is He to loose 1/3 of all He possessed at the beginning?

Logic says that God should not loose any of His works.

When God gave His creation free will, all bets are off. Free will gives God's creation the ability to choose to follow Him or reject Him. When it comes to mankind, the Bible indicates that most of it will be lost to Hell. Getting to heaven is actually easy, yet man is of a mind set to oppose or ignore God and live their life void of God. Few ever consider God. And many are depending on vain religion, believeing that church attendance will get them there.

If getting into heaven is so easy, why do you indicate that the vast majority fail?
Will God be restricted then to a tiny part of the universe that He originally had all of. Strange loosing God you follow.
My God starts with all of creation and ends the same way. Keep your looser, I will keep my winner.

I believe the vast majority fail because people neglect the most important thing one can do in their life, and that is to give their life to Christ. Jesus once said, "how shall they neglect so great a salvation?'' God is not impressed with great numbers of people who could careless about Him, God is looking for people who really love Him.

Bullshit.

Either you're insane, or you're lying.

I used to lie, back when I was a Christian trying madly to justify my faith. I would say things I knew weren't true, but, in a way, believe they were true myself.

But I was never crazy enough to hear or see anything. I tried, prayed like the superstitious idiot I was, but it didn't happen.

And, eventually, I grew up.
