I find that interesting, but also I am not surprised there are faults/contradictions in the bible. Everything but God is faulty...including the bible, methinks.

The only problem I have with the Bible is when it is read literally.

Any Christian that reads it that way will never find God.
He will find talking snakes only.

The Bible is our best road map to God.
Jesus the best guide.

Definitely, because it is bound to have some flaws, it shouldn't be read literally. Finding God is about much more than just reading a book....even if it his "road map" for us.

Exactly.
I read it with the mindset of Jesus. It helps in knowing what has a possibility of His approval.
IE. Would Jesus send a flood and break His own Law of killing. Not likely.

@rugonnacry,
Jesus was a great guy and whether or not you believe he is the son of god or not walking in his path is an honor. Compassionate, understanding, tolerance and love. This guy was a good guy and admire any christian who truly follows his path. Those who actually do social programs for the poor and live a moderate life.

Moderate Christians are the most kind, wonderful people on this planet. It is sad there are not more of them. Sad

C'mon now.....that's not true. He can find God. It's a matter of emphasis. He'll end up worshiping the Bible, instead of God, as he gets increasingly fanatical about literal, Biblical interpretation. Hardcore Fundies get frothy-mouthed and start jumping around and hollering, TOTALLY fixated on the Bible, not God. They can't see God through the Bible. It's sad, actually. Very sad.

Yes.
He tried to end the stick of the carrot and stick mentality of His day.
Unfortunately too many Christian denominations are exclusive instead of inclusive.
God is the most inclusive God around. he makes all souls Perfect insuring that we all get to heaven.

True communism is only possible in Heaven.
Only there, for now, can a demographic pyramid consist of only two levels exist.

Jesus did send a flood and His law was not given at that time it came after the flood, and God's law was not given for Himself but for man to follow, for God is the giver and taker of life. The flood did not destroy human life as we understand it. Those killed in the flood were half human half beast, and if not for the flood the world would of been a far different place than it is today. There was a little more going on back then, and chances are most of that Biblical understanding never gets to the Sunday go to church group.

Hogwash.
God's law is timeless.
The example of a Lawmaker breaking His own Law is exactly what the flood would be. Though shall not kill is with Moses before the flood.

Where in the Bible did you find half human and half beast?

Why did God's reboot of the flood not take if He is Perfect and all powerful?

Proving you don't really know that much about it, the Ten Commandments came after the flood.

The law is still eternal.
Do speak to the fact that the Lawmaker is breaking His own Law.

It does not apply. He was restarting the world- the inhabitants were not His, but Satans

I'll take that as a 'yes'. In God we trust. All others we monitor. Watch out.:patriot: Wink

On the last question. Yes they do.

On the rest, a scenario would need to be built to say with any accuracy. Expelling members may show a weakness in the leader. A good leader might use others to censure dissenters.

If followers owe positional authority, then we follow God. As the first and most powerful Entity in the Universe, He has positional authority over all creation. Creation includes angels and man/woman.

Good keep the commie idiology in Heaven, I don't want it on earth. I'd rather be dead than RED. No pun intended to my avator or moniker, I hope I haven't offend the French who'd gladly and have given themselves over to the Reds without a fight.

I'm sorry but you really need to read your Bible. The flood happened long before Moses walked the earth, long before their was a Pharoah in Egypt, long before their was a promised land. And God's law handed down to Moses was for humankind, not God. The story of the violent giants will be found in Genesis chapter 6. God's reboot worked to the point that he got rid of a race that was not fully human, God knew than man would still be evil, yet now He would be free to work on the human condition. God is all powerful yet He still has given man free will to choose good or evil. God does not want robots to love Him. God wants men and woman to choose to follow him because it is their desire to follow Him out of love not out of a preset program by Him.
