Yes, gloating is hard to keep under wraps. One of them will not only have to be home every day 2.5 hours earlier, they'll also now have to be home two full days as well.

Oh I do hope she manages to find good reliable help ... at an affordable price, of course! Twisted Evil

Your sister has brought out the very worst in me, k! I'm not usually so petty, or out for revenge, honest! But in this case .... Laughing

Help? She won't hire help. She or her husband will leave work when they need to.

MsO, Although I do try to be fair, it is a one-sided argument. And, to boot, I can't relay ALL the details involved - it'd be impossible. Here I go again - it's like I'm bi-polar.... first I slam her then I defend her....

Ah families!

They're enough to drive the best of us around the bend, k! Laughing

A thought: um, k .... you wouldn't be looking at ways to reorganize your commitments during that fortnight, to help out, would you?
Nah, you wouldn't do that, would you?

Oh nooo, don't do it, littlek! It's only one week! Let her cope with her
family alone - it's only one lousy week she needs to get by. Let her do it!
Do not interfere, you hear me, littlek? DO NOT!!!

Um, folks it was just a thought I had!
I think littlek is offline now, so we don't know whether she's considering it or not ...

(but, just in case: don't do it, k! )

I knew I wouldn't be able to help - schedule-wise, but I offered anyway (ha!). I'm not mean, but I do like to make a point. Oh too bad! I scheduled my doctor appts that week and I have work commitments. Maybe monday? No? Ok!

I worked 2.5 days last week for T. She told me I was the hardest worker she'd ever seen (and she was a middle manager for a major phone company for many years) and told me she was giving me a raise. She paid me 20/hour instead of 15/hour. She did a little business coaching as well. Meet your parents' neighbors, build up a little clientel. We all have more yard work than we can do by ourselves. Oh, and raise your rates! Heeheehee. She is currently one of my favorite people.

On friday I spent the day in the semi-finished basement trying to finish one of my papers. I knew I wouldn't be getting much school work done this weekend as my sis and her family were coming down.

I spent saturday with my mom away from the house (a nursery open house!) and sunday in the yard working. I have blisters on my hands and a sun burn on my back. I needed two rounds of bug spray.

My sister was here to take horse riding lessons, go swimming, and relax. I was working when she left and she smiled and said, "At least you're getting some exercise!"

Uh Yeah. At least the kids were happy to see me.

Turns out she and my mom chatted about my financial life WITHOUT me. What were they thinking? I hope they did come to any conclusions or agreements.

Now I am trying to whip up paper number 2. I'm behind schedule as my allergy meds are knocking me on my ass.

You KNOW how obnoxious I can be. Don't let me near your sister if I come to Massachusetts one day.

Cinderella all over again. The stepsisters couldn't have been worse. Evil or Very Mad

Yes, T. sounds like a breath of fresh air in all this. Listen to her advice.

Cinderella, Cinderella, Cinderella! Were they mice who sang that? I saw the movie in NYC in 1950. Formative experience, resonating even now.

Actually you are , littlek, but your moment in life will still come,
if not the glass slipper then something else that will reward you.
