Without having read all the replies, my take on this is :

- this is really a question about how much you are worth.

There are two people who affect this - yourself, and your sister. In the very end, you are responsible for deciding your own worth. So the question becomes, do you stand up for the worth you see in yourself? If you choose not to, you choose to allow another to determine your worth...and because our mind wants to be congruent about who and what we are (worth), your mind will readjust it's sense of worth to meet the new reality.

In other words, you either decide to be true to yourself and respect your worth, or your worth will be 'settled' for you by someone else.

Of course if you both believe you have the same worth, there is no problem (only when you don't both agree).
