Heeeheeee. Yes, but it might make dinner much more interesting for the other customers. I hope you have a good week, too!

Now that wasn't in my horoscope: sentimental date with husband giving me engagement ring so we can start over. I took the ring and said 'probably not, but we'll see; separate for 3 or 4 months now and then I'll rethink'.

Best of both worlds, Olga!! Funny isn't it, that it is only when you really don't care much that these choices reappear? I am going to revel in my freedom far more knowing that I may in the end choose to go back with him.

Hey guys, look at this!

Pisces

Your sexual allure has never been stronger, so be sure to take advantage of it. If you're looking for love, you should have the pick of the litter. Choose a partner who appreciates your artistic talents and admires your sensitivity. If you're already in a relationship, be a little more demanding. Your stature will go up in your partner's eyes as a result. Brainstorming with a group of friends can result in a profitable idea.

The pick of the litter! Doncha just love it! Laughing

Well, better rush of & preen myself, practise those hither come eyes, an opportunity not to be missed! Laughing

Hey, good on ya, Clary! That attitude works in so many things... if you're willing to walk away, you seem so alluring and desirable.

MsOlga -- Pick of the Litter? Wowza! Very Happy

Here's the Sag horoscope for the day:
Quote:
Some slight alterations in your routine at home might have you feeling a bit stressed out and wondering if you'll ever get used to it. These feelings are understandable, Piffka, but it might be more productive not to dwell on the strangeness of the situation and try to figure out how to make it work for you. You're adaptable by nature, and so change isn't usually a problem for you. Don't make it one now.

Piffka & Clary

I have to confess that I wasted this fabulous window of opportunity yesterday by staying in & reading all day! But I really enjoyed it: The Poisonwood Bible - half way through now & will have to put it aside today as I'm going out with a friend. BUT I will assume my horoscope has lasting value & will act on it when/if the spirit moves me. Laughing

So what was the disruptive change of routine, Piffka, & did you meet the challenge?

I'm sure the Poisonwood Bible will prove to have lasting repercussions on your assertiveness! I have yet to read it. I used to read, now I A2K.
My horoscope today says:
You may not be sailing off into the sunset today, Clare, but at least you can start planning for it.

When am I not? But as you, MsOlga, know by now, plots thicken to visit the upside-down world of Oz...

Oh, how true it is!

Fun to imagine yourself traveling here and there! As the main "travel agent" for my family, that is one of my favorite jobs!

Speaking of traveling, I wonder where Drom is?

Batten down the hatches!

The last time Piffka sent someone to see me (in reality - to collect her jar of chutney!) - poor Janet got so sick she thought she was going to die! I think it's me - I'd avoid me if I were me???!

Hi drom

Yes, Barbara Kingsolver. I'm up to page 381, just after the horrendous ant attack! Shocked And the CIA's removal of Lumumba from leadership of the Congo. Shocked Crying or Very sad Now I'm waiting to see what terrible damage was done to the family in the panic-stricken escape from the ant attack. (I almost don't want to know!) And I want to shake that crazy preaching father till his brains rattle! Evil or Very Mad

Oh & here's my horoscope for today:

Venus in Pisces has you in an expanded love transit. Giving you an experience & understanding of love extending beyond the personal to the universal, to include humans, animals, plants, land - all living things.

Now that sounds more like it! Very Happy

Piffka: unfortunately, I'm back in England; I got back a week ago or so. Unfortunately, work has me sidetracked, but I'm almost finished putting all the pads together to tell you what happened-- I ended up in Italy, though I hadn't planned to go there.

I wish that 'The Poisonwood Bible' were out years ago when I was doing African-based Literature for my English Lit. coursework. I had to compare Conrad Sad with Achebe, though I really wanted to do something about Nabokov. It's very symbolic- the driver ant attack that you just mentioned showing whose ideals are more suited to African ground. Ooh Nathan!! Gr. Do you ever feel sorry for him? You might feel it once, when the real awful thing in the book happens. For most of the time, I wanted to push his guts out of his mouth, though. Rachel is one of the worst though; really repulsive.

No, I haven't felt sorry for Nathan yet ...... He's just an self-centred, obsessive bully. Grrrrrr ... I guess the worst hasn't happened to him yet?
My mind is still boggling after the awful death of the youngest daughter (I read heaps more this afternoon) .... Tragic.
Agreed on Rachel ..... An extremely shallow & irritating person.
I think I'll be finished by tomorrow at this rate!
