It's a miracle of modern technology!

Yep, we've got a lot of leftover turkey as well -- turkey sandwiches are good. we've got so much food -- I think I won't have to shop for a week. I did shop around for a better horoscope!

Sagittarius Horoscope for week of December 25, 2003
Quote:

You'll have some heroic assignments in 2004, Sagittarius. They will challenge you to be both ingeniously creative and rigorously disciplined. Can you think way outside of the box without alienating those who prefer to live inside of the box? Are you open-minded enough to get fired up about experimental innovations, but authoritative enough to hammer out pragmatic compromises? Do you have the flexibility to be both a maverick and a leader?

Hmm, seems to cover all eventualities really. Well my 26 Dec one was good, but not accurate - all about a new blow for feminism or something. Hang on - my youngest son is cooking dinner ! YAY!

Hmmm, that sounds like the one I pooh-poohed:

Quote:
for December 26th -- If you are someone who is concerned about the condition of women in this world, Piffka, today you will show the world the modern, independent woman you really are. You may even get the attention you deserve! You could be in store for a professional promotion or a job offer that you cannot refuse. You are free to do what you want; and don't you ever forget it!

I may be modern and independent, but this scenario is not likely.

Nice that your son is cooking. We've managed to snag dinner invitations which means the leftovers will wait another day.

Good idea! Mind you, the dinner wasn't great; but so great that I hadn't cooked it.

Yes that was the same horoscope I poohpoohed. Looks like they aren't taking our moons and ascendants into account!

Pisces Horoscope for week of December 25, 2003

I'm hopeful that 2004 will be the year you renounce your habit of taking on the roles of scapegoat and martyr. In fact, let's launch a campaign to do just that right now. The best way to begin might be to engage in one last self-mocking wallow. Tape a "Kick Me" or "Use Me" sign on your back. Attach a chain to a doormat and wear it around your neck like a big necklace. Invite friends to blame you for everything that's wrong in their lives. Take the whole shtick to the limit, in other words, Pisces. Feel how ridiculous it is. Encourage it to burn itself out in a blaze of absurd glory. And then walk away from it forever.

Gosh, I'm a masochist then, am I? Shocked Well, I admit a have SLIGHT tendencies to take a bit too much responsibility for other's problems, but hey, this is a bit over the top! Rolling Eyes

That is a crazy horoscope, Msolga! It doesn't really tell you why to humiliate yourself; doing so won't change you at all! I consider it to be an evil plot by S&M hackers. Plus, in this modern world, going around with a sign that says 'Use me' isn't the greatest idea.

*My Holiday Update* (Excuse excited nature of the prose)

Well, I'm in Europe; the only problem is that I'm in the wrong country. Yes, the start of my journey has gone slightly awry, but I consider the diversion to be part of the fun! The flights from Birmingham were nearly non-existant, and the only flights that I could get to Berlin arrived late at night, which didn't suit with my friend's schedule. I had to stay the night out in Kilburn, and would get a plane to Paris. I figured that going to Paris and then getting a train/ trains to Berlin would work out easier and faster than arriving in Berlin near to midnight. I got here late, at about quarter to nine, and got up to the Gare du Nord... and I was right; normally, it would take less time to go buy train; only that the trains are not running all that frequently and that the next one will arrive in Berlin as the same time as the plane does! Damn! If there were some other flight earlier this morning or last night, I would have been in Berlin on time.So I went back from the Gare du Nord, without a ticket, trying to find some friend that would take me there. I went on the Métro- unusually quiet but still busy- out to my friend Victoria's house, in Gennevilliers, not that far from but not that near to the centre of Paris. From what I saw of it, it isn't the most beautiful place, it's industrial in places, but Victoria says that I just saw the bad side of it. So here I am, after discussing what I am going to do next with Victoria, hoping for the assistance of someone. She sighed and said, 'Oh no; had you come a few days ago, you could have gone with Emily and *indistinct name* when they were going back home for Christmas!' There was only her who had not gone back to her parental home for Christmas. So, we decided that I could either:

1) Go to Munich from the Gare du Nord and wait there without certain accomodation for a few days...
2) Go with her as far as Luxembourg City and be at the mercy of the train system and/or her friends to get to Berlin.

So I chose the second of the two. 'But why Luxembourg?' 'Well, I'm surely not going to take you all the way to Berlin, and even if I did, you'd arrive at the same time as the plane!' But as I have no friends in Luxembourg city, I persuaded her to take me to Bonn, as it would work out quicker. It should take about three hours from here to Bonn, and about four hours from Bonn to Berlin, so hopefully I will make it; it not, I can wing my way around it..

Good grief! Planes and trains can be so maddening. I hope you get to Berlin soon. At least you've got Victoria, who seems to be a girl on the go.

Just so you have some guidance Very Happy... here's the Gemini horoscope for the week beginning December 25th. It sounds hopeful...

Quote:
One way or another, you'll be coming home in 2004, Gemini. Maybe you'll finally locate the sanctuary that brings out the best in you -- the power spot where you feel pure and real and true. Maybe you'll create the community you've always dreamed of or else join a network that connects you to resources that have always been off-limits. Perhaps you'll go explore the land where your ancestors lived and died for many generations, or maybe you'll make a pilgrimage to a storied place that holds the key to a mystery you desperately need to clarify. And maybe you'll do all of the above.

The all-of-the-above prediction may be the most accurate! Good travels, Drom.

Really, littlek? I thought you were a pretty nice apple tree.

Hmmm, My week in Focus:
Emotional stability

The emphasis is on the wonderful feelings you can share with another, through daring to voice your real feelings. But you probably won't want to continue in this way. You are very much enjoying the success that comes with so much career progress. Still, if you find yourself in a lull, you will be able to connect with a person you cherish and make them smile. A little loving does you good - but as Saturn continues to move through Cancer, you may have a hard time convincing yourself of this on a permanent basis. You prefer to stay single and out of the grip of intense emotions. Uranus moves into Pisces, where it will remain for several years now. This means that concerning your home life, you will tend to feel much more restless and have a hard time settling down. It may be that you have two homes because of your career, or perhaps choose to wander more and travel to your heart's content. Use this week as a time of reflection to enable you to feel your next steps, even if uncertain. Your understanding of what it means to be spiritual may change as well - you are seeking a sense of emotional stability, which is good for you.
