I suspected that was his problem. You know what I’ve learned over the years, most young guys his age that are homophobes are in the closet MO’s. He’ll probably come around some day once he comes out! Half the gay men I know dated or married women and came out late in life and half were homophobes before coming out.
You are surrounded by people who love you, and that's all that matters.
I have problems with family members too, but my immediate family are wonderful.

A lot of it is the culture we're brought up with. The stranger rides into town and kills the bad guys. He doesn't get to the heart of why the chief bad guy is behaving the way he is by taking him on a voyage of self discovery and reconciliation.

Congratulations on becoming a bigger family. The fact that your other half-sibling isn’t in the fold yet is unfortunate but it’s a loss on his part…not yours. Should he came around, it’d mean he matured. You did the right thing. It’s a wonderful story to read from a bystander’s point of view regardless of all of the details. You can’t win them all.
At least I have one, who knows if Logan will come around, he deleted both of us from Facebook. Very childish thing to do. But he knows where I live and has my number, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. Probably hear from him five years from now.
