Poor Kavanaugh wants to run for SC judge

In normal times, this kind of allegations would destroy anyone applying for SC Judge, but these are different times. Two women in the Senate might make the difference.

@cicerone imposter,
A story from 30+ years ago, one the FBI isn't going to investigate, and you think it should be taken seriously???
If the letter has been in democrats hands, why wasn't it brought up at the committee hearings?

The dems seem to be desperate now, and it doesn't help them.
They tried this same stunt when Clarence Thomas was nominated, and it didn't work then.
Even Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is saying that the committee was being unfair, and she is a liberal.

I think this socalled lettef is totally bogus.

@mysteryman841,
Whether it's 30+ years ago or 10 years ago, one's bigotry does not go away. For many whites, that's how they want this country; majority whites to control our government. That's not ethical or Constitutional. Trump is now your leader, and he's definitely a white supremacist who denied Obama his presidency for five years. Bigots destroy this country. https://www.wsj.com/articles/brett-kavanaughs-complicated-history-with-racial-preferences-1536073245. Many are predicting a blue wave coming in November. I certainly hope so, and will vote blue, and I'm not a liberal. I'm a fiscal conservative, and do not believe in big government or influence.

Yet you obsequiously pretend the US government made appropriate amends for their racism against Japanese Americans since forever which culminated in JAs being put in prison camps, their wealth stolen.

The USSC deemed this institutional racism to be totally legal and appropriate even after knowing that Roosevelt forced Japan into WWII.

You heard this propaganda and you think it sounds neat.

And talk about a stunning hypocrite you are, ci, the US military [just one example] is a huge, bloated totally unnecessary drain on the US and the world at large.

@cicerone imposter,
Much of the time, political hacks are appointed to the USSC; off the top of my head, I'd say that this is much more the case where cons/conservatives are involved, like Kav and Thomas.

Consider the EP of lying Lincoln. The US justice system, with the connivance of the USSC kept that big Lincoln lie from ever coming to fruition for almost a century.

@mysteryman841,
What you believe as "totally bogus" has no meaning. It's what congress does that has the meaning, not only for Kavanaugh but to our country. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/05/us/politics/kavanaugh-abortion-guns-presidential-power.html

The FBI never investigates the powers that control you and your thinking, mm. You know that.

The court of public opinion might just enough to end Kav's run for glory.

Whoever the Democrats nominate for the 2020 presidential elections tried to force himself/herself on me at a party. I have been too frightened to come forward, and still am, but may feel a little braver about coming forward by early 2020.

Before Trump, I would agree with you that Susan Collins was an honorable and reasonable conservative Senator who actually call out their own party when the party is pushing for something sleazy against Collins' well-defined principles.

She's always been an open prochoice senator. Yeah. She's going to cowardly lockstep vote for Kavanaugh because her party wants her to.

I don't know enough about Lisa Murkowski to put any faith in her decision regarding the Kavanaugh nomination.

"honorable and reasonable" people do not vote to allow their governments illegally invading sovereign nations. That is what Nazi legislators did which produced crimes that saw people hung.

Not possible at all for your latter comment, Finn, but yes, conservatives have always held to notions that they are much better than others, Blacks for instance and that they may hold dominance over them. Same with women, but you probably want to deny this, given how much trouble you have with facing reality.
