Yeah
But we were talking pineapple sauerkraut. The kabbage is understood.

Of course. What do you suppose sauerkraut is composed of?

I've been meaning to ask mate, 'Apisa' sounds a bit Italian to me, are you one of the Sicilian Apisas or what?

Nope.

My family came to the United States from Caserta...a province near Naples. There is some speculation that the spelling suggests that originally it was to denote "from Pisa."

My father used to claim the Tower has been in the family for years.

@engineer,
Well said! Straight people can walk down a sidewalk holding hands and kiss in public anywhere in America. And the law completely supports them no matter how badly they abuse marriage. Every day is straight pride for them! They just don't want to begrudge us even a day to celebrate survival, love, community and friendship.

Please don't lump all straight people into the same bin.

I don't begrudge you anything. On the other hand, don't look at gays personally with any special feelings. They're just people.

@EqualityFLSTPete,
You all misunderstand.

I am not in favor of marriage. This has nothing to do with equality.

So, just what is this stuff? Pineapple flavored kimchee? That sounds as bad as, well, kimchee.

@maxdancona,
Backwards?

Referring to God as an "asshole" and "fucked up," is not offensive but a strong belief in him is?

You're a pip max. Cool

Romeo is a provocateur who deliberately posts offensive comments and images to get a rise out of folks like you and it works nearly every time.

Suggesting that he is the epitome of strong believers in God is ridiculous but as predictable a move from you as posted images of natives with bones through their noses or Stepin Fechit when the topic is African-Americans is from Romeo.

Now, of course, I expect you to respond that you weren't suggesting Romeo is representative of strong believer, which is also a predictable move: Toss out a ludicrous or offensive statement and then deny it when called out on it.

@Finn dAbuzz,
If God was offended, then I offer Him an apology (although I hope he would be big enough to let me know if this were the case). Wilso called me a "fuckwit" on the "Need for Speed" thread. I didn't take it too seriously, and I didn't see you saying anything in that thread.

Other than that, it is between me and Him. I don't see how it is your business, Finn.

@Lustig Andrei,
Why did you have to change your Merry Andrew moniker? I, for one, preferred it.

Oh, and while I'm sure there are a few A2K members who have to move their lips when they read, I don't think username pronunciation is a major issue here. Nice of you to think of their feeling though.

I think you meant "They just want to begrudge us a day..."

You don't really think this is the case for all heterosexuals do you?

Something happened when I dropped aol as my isp and, hence, had to change my e-mail addy. Those pesky hamsters would no longer recognize Merry Andrew regardless of what password I tried to use. Instead of fighting city hall I found it easier to just change the nom-de-net.

I don't think you really understand what marriage is about. Do you know why it is that people laugh at weddings and cry at funerals?

... it's because they are not the ones involved.

@maxdancona,
i've been to way more funerals than weddings, and laughed at more funerals too

various family members were told to "keep it down" at my grandmothers funeral as there were other funerals going on, i'm guesing nothing fun ever happened in their families
