According to the recent investigation into homosexuality, the consensus is those who describe themselves as homophobic almost always turn out to be gay and closeted. For wahtever reason, rather than accept being gay and having a gay life, these people deny themselves and spend rather a lot of time making negative comments about gays.

More interesting though is the related question this research raises, namely, are the opposing sides of things usually in fact of or belonging to what they vocalize their opposition to?

But, I've never known anyone to describe his self as homophobic. The word implies fear of, and that's just not how a homophobic would describe himself.

That's only when you believe that homophobia is mainly in men. My mom's like the most phobic towards gay men and lesbians. And anyone lgbt in general. In the most crass way and she's definitely not homosexual. I have though known some bisexual women that were homophobic obviously. To me that is the most annoying thing ever. I had a roommate who would call the person next door a f*g all the time and make fun of them while openly being bisexual herself. I always made sure she felt different in turn. Don't you dare think you can just be homophobic around me and be the same damn thing.

I come to find out that guys who claim to be homophobic usually are closeted gay men. There was this guy in my cousin's neighborhood who used to bully this gay guy that lived down the street from him all the time. Many times, he would bully him in front of an audience which you could tell that he loved the attention. However, one night, I was invited to an after party at one of the local gay clubs and I started not to go. Needless to say, I was so happy I did because while dancing with a friend, I looked on to the huge lighted dance platform that was in front of me and who did I see grinding and kissing on that very floor...????...the bully and the gay guy that he picked on...haha...can you believe that???...and from that point on...I found out that many homophobic guys are closeted gay men.
