Hell David the 911 attackers was mainly citizens of a country that we protected from an invasion from Iraq as a matter of fact.

By that do you mean Saudi Arabia? If so you think they should be grateful that the unelected dictatorship of King Fahd, (where women aren't allowed to drive, or go out unaccompanied) was protected from Saddam's unelected dictatorship.

We did not have a security reesolution authorising invasion. Therefore the invasion was illegal

LOL since when had the UN become a world government with the power to limit nations actions in their own interests?

I do not off hand remember the US giving up if sovereign to the UN perhaps you could give me the date this event occur izzy.

By the way did the UK get the permission of the UN to take back the Falkland islands?

@izzythepush,
In other word we supported some governments that the terrorists wished to overthrow shame on us.

As far as placing troops in prophet lands I assume it would had been far far better to have the allow Saddam Hussein to take over all those countries by invasion.

Somehow I do not think that the terrorists would had been happier with his rule then their own royal families.

Maybe we should had allowed Hussein a year or two to dig these assholes out and kill them before removing him.

It would had been more then a little rough on the citizens of those countries but having them running for their lives would had kept the terrorist too busy to attack us.

Not just terrorists. Have you not been witnessing the Arab Spring? The problem is you're an idiot, you refuse to accept why anyone would have a legitimate grudge against the West, and think that alienating law abiding citizens because of their beliefs will actually make you safer.

The Falkland Islands were British territory that had been invaded.

The UN and international law requiring security council resolutions was set up primarily by Roosevelt to stop another countries invading others. You obviously prefer the Nazi approach of might is right. That's not surprising.

That 's a nice sentiment and I thank u for it, Mr. Parados.
That is the best thing that u have ever said about me,
and it moves me to feel good about myself,
but since the age of 11, I have believed that trusting is a bad business
and it shud be kept to a minimum. Examination of history
reveals that human behavior is not predictable.
Perfidy is just part of being human, like carbon in the DNA.

No one shud trust anyone (with more than he is willing to lose).
The treachery that I have personally experienced has been
relatively mild, bland & trivial, but that does not impair my
observation of long-term human nature.

Children shud be tawt that in kindergarten, while thay have
a lot of time on their hands (along with the inefficacy of gratitude).

( I wonder if I shud open a school. )

@izzythepush,
Sorry dear heart we did not interfere with the so call Arab spring however we did interfere with terrorists getting control of countries that where when they did they make a living hell for the population.

Let see mass executions at sport stadiums where the victims was first driven around on the back of pickup trucks for the enjoyment of the crowd first.

Note there are plenty of youtube videos however they all require you to log in to view.

Then we had the barbarians destroying a thousand five hundreds year old Buddha statues.

Then they used their control of Afghanistan to plot the killing of thousands of innocents Americans.

@BillRM,
Mubarak was in charge, and propped up by the West, for a long time before The Arab Spring. And there were plenty of people like you, who thought American interests trump American values, fortunately the people like you lost out to common sense.

You need a Geography lesson, the Taliban controlled Afghanistan not Iraq, and you didn't invade because they were destroying statues and executing people. Infact you were quite happy to do business with them prior to 9/11.

Quote:
In 1996, Unocal opened an office in Kandahar, Afghanistan, while the Taliban were in the process of taking control of the country.

Unocal rented a house in central Kandahar directly across the street from one of [Osama] bin Laden's new compounds. They did not choose this location deliberately. Most of the decent houses in town straddled the Herat Bazaar Road. Also near was the Pakistani consulate, which housed officers from [the Pakistani military Inter-Services Intelligence, the] ISI.

—Steve Coll, Ghost Wars

In 1997,

Robert Oakley [ex-US ambassador to Pakistan, now on Unocal's ad hoc advisory board] advised Miller to reach the Taliban by working through Pakistan's government [then led by Benazir Bhutto]. He also suggested that Unocal hire Thomas Gouttiere, an Afghan specialist at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, to develop a job training program in Kandahar that would teach Pashtuns the technical skills needed to build a pipeline. ... Unocal agreed to pay $900,000 via the University of Nebraska to set up a Unocal training facility on a fifty-six acre site in Kandahar, not far from bin Laden's compounds. ... Gouttiere traveled in and out of Afghanistan and met with Taliban leaders. ... In December 1997 Gouttiere worked with Miller to arrange for another Taliban delegation to visit the United States. ...

—Steve Coll, Ghost Wars

Unocal seems to have had a deeper role. Intelligence "whistleblower" Julie Sirrs claimed that anti-Taliban leader Ahmad Shah Massoud told her he had "proof that Unocal had provided money that helped the Taliban take Kabul [in 1996]". And French journalist Richard Labeviere said, referring to the later 1990s, "The CIA and Unocal's security forces ... provided military weapons and instructors to several Taleban militia[s] ..."

The Taliban and Unocal were in negotiations in Texas to discuss arrangements for the gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to Pakistan in 1997 and a deal was struck but later failed.

The fact that you talk about the Taliban as an example Of Moslems is proof of your addled thinking, using your senile logic Jeffrey Dahmer is a typical American.

I've made my point, and there's no reason to discuss it any further just because you're too stupid to comprehend it, so I'll stop reponding to you now before you start repeating yourself, as it's clear you've gone full circle.

It's no fun talking to stupid people, especially when they're as repulsive as you are.
