Coach has gone from relatively sane to the same annoying joik he was a few seasons ago.

Why are Ozzy and Coach still there? Why is Brandon still there?

@Roberta,
Coach is still there because he built a Ship of Fools who listen to him. Ozzy is still dazzling a few people. They don't want him to win, but they also like having him around. Brandon's on-going presence is the real mystery. No one likes him, no one trusts him, he annoys people, but yet he's still in the game. I totally don't get it.

@Green Witch,
Some times though it is a good thing to keep the annoying person - better to go against them in final tribal. A good reason that Russell didn't win although he made it to final tribal.

But I don't think it is why he has made it so far.

I think the other tribe would have voted off Ozzie - but they want his strength for the challenges.

@Linkat,
Probably why Mr.FederalAgentPhillip lasted so long in Nicaragua.

@Irishk,
Well at least Rob wanted him on for that reason - although I don't think coach is as savy.

And, don't forget, the fish! He fishes! Rolling Eyes Laughing

I'll echo those sentiments. I think that's why annoying players get to stay around.

Ozzy had to eat his words and make up to the rest of his tribe. He knew there was no other way to get further in the game.

Have you heard that in addition to doing Survivor, Jeff Probst will be starting his own talk show next year?

I can hear it now: "C'mon in guys!" Laughing

@Reyn,
Ozzy is being foolish. He wants to go to redemption island so he can beat Christine? She wants to be on their team, her team sent her there. What a nut!

Apparently, Jesus is rooting for Cochrain ( the prayer thing really annoys me, almost as much as the internal plug for that lame movie). Ozzy obviously has more ego than common sense. Yes, JC, Christine obviously hates her team and is anxious to get revenge by signing on with Ozzy's team. She would have stayed loyal where I think Cochrain is ready to jump ship if an offer is made. Finally things get interesting.

I can't believe Ozzy did that. He so could have allied with Christine and been rid of Cochrane (who isn't going to give him back his idol LOL).

Albert FTW!!!

Cochrane will not have the guts to deny Ozzy the idol if he returns. Ozzy will give him a wedgie.

Coach and his constant prayer is getting as annoying as Phillip was. Enough is enough. I had no idea that god took sides! Mad

Ozzie is a nutcase, like Coach. My hope is that Christine wins yet another challenge and sends the idiot home. I want her to get back into the game, just to tick off Coac's team, and apparently, Ozzie's too.

K, is there a "Ponderosa" for this game, too?

@Reyn,
Yes -- are you thinking a defeated Ozzy would be the first jury member? I think last season they merged at 12 left - 9 for jury and 3 in the finale.

I laughed when Jeff reminded Ozzy that if this stunt doesn't work, he'll look even dumber than he did when he got booted with the idol in his pocket.

Okay.
Time to roll out those predictions..... .

Based on the three second preview I saw of the rope climb obstacle I saw at the end of last night's program .. . . . . .
Ozzie beats her.

Bonus:
There is no merge. The two teams have to battle w/o Ozzie present.
They get creamed big time and, guess who causes the mess-up?
Yeah, Cochran.
Guess who uses the Immunity Idol for himself at Tribal Council?
Somebody (who cares?) goes to Redemption and gets beaten by
Ozzie.

They merge.

Ozzie comes back to find everybody on his former tribe is pissed at him because now they are really down in numbers and are against Coach's Evangelical Marching Band.

All that praying is making me cringe. Big time, switch the channel cringe.

So I saw only patches of the show. Yes, Cochran screwed up. Yes, Ozzy volunteered for Redemption Island (a new and interesting twist). Yes, the movie was touted.

Hey, Coach, eat a banana and shut the hell up.

I hope the merge is not next week.

I'm rather hoping so.

I hope Ozzie gets his butt beaten by Christine, followed by Coach, at a later challenge.

@Reyn,
Jeff Probst is such a tease. From his Q & A on Episode 7:

"If you thought Ozzy’s move was good, just wait till next week. Game Changer."

@Reyn,
I wasn't 100% about the merge timing, but judging from his first answer, I'm convinced it's next week. Ozzy's a challenge beast (especially the individual ones) so, like Joe, I'm also betting he'll win the duel and send Christine home...then re-enter the game.

Beyond that, no clue about the 'game changer'. I just hope it's another good episode lol.

I'm not convinced. Many of the challenges at RI could be won by someone using speed, agility, or was sharp (like puzzles), etc.

That would even out the playing field.
