@Alan McDougall,

Where was God during the holocaust, because of this many say there simply is no God watching over us.?

What do you of the forum think?

I think he was in the hearts and minds of Christians like Martin Luther and other Christians that oppose his view. God is whatever you think he should be.

Quote:

for Jewish synagogues and schools to be burned to the ground, and the remnants buried out of sight;
for houses owned by Jews to be likewise razed, and the owners made to live in agricultural outbuildings;
for their religious writings to be taken away;
for rabbis to be forbidden to preach, and to be executed if they do;
for safe conduct on the roads to be abolished for Jews;
for usury to be prohibited, and for all silver and gold to be removed and "put aside for safekeeping"; and
for the Jewish population to be put to work as agricultural slave laborers.[4]

@reasoning logic,
God's only excuse is that He doesn't exist.

If God doesn't exist, he can't be blamed, of course. On the other hand, perhaps there is some god responsible for all the world's misery. Could that individual be identified by a study of the Bible? Will that 'god' be permitted to continue indefinitely? Since I seem to be the only believer willing to stand the heat of this thread, perhaps I can provide some direction.

@Alan McDougall,
God was watching over them always. He gave us free will and its OUR fault the halocaust occured. Everything happens for a reason but we can't always see those ways because God works in mysterious ways. The halocaust surely inspired many people to turn to God for help.

Do you think that it inspired some people to turn to false religions as well?

When people of the past worshiped the sun or other Gods do you think that they to became more religious during and after wars?

@mailliw19,
God already crucified most on this planet with his great flood. How many "great floods" does he plan to have in addition to tsunamis, volcanoes, earthquakes, fires, floods, and other "natural" disasters?

Does natural equate to god? LOL

@Alan McDougall,
Where was God during the holocaust? The same place God has always been, in the pages of books.
