You convinced me; no God that should be part of our religions. If there is a God, I do not think he deserves adherents. Let him/her go to another planet to have adherents.

@Alan McDougall,
I think that for those "believers" in the camps, the "God/afterlife" concept was all they had left, and that was reinforced by the occasional acts of humanity performed between fellow inmates and outside sympathisers. Apparently, Jehovah's witnesses were exemplary in this respect.

It seems clear to me that the human craving for an "overall controller" (be it deity or dictator) is the cognitive price humans pay for their limited "control advantage" over their environment. This craving naturally emphasises what is called both "good" and "bad" in their tribal instincts.

The really pathetic thing (other than his butchery of English) is that this clown is a Dane. The Germans occupied Denmark, and killed Danes, just as they did in any country they occupied, but i learned early on that this clown is a great admirer of the Nazis and their alleged superiority.

He's a putz, don't waste your time.

Whatever else happened during the Holocaust, the Jewish people did not whine.
So, carry on with whatever this thread is supposed to be about.

One thing I do think is that man is capable of evil with or without God.
This little verse makes it sound as if God is supposed to be some sort of super hero - swooping in to negate man's evil intentions before or as they occur - and if that doesn't happen, in other words if everyone is not saved immediately from any suffering - God doesn't exist or is not doing his/her 'job'.

If there were no evil in the world - would more people then believe in God?
Do people only not believe in God because there is evil, and or sickness, poverty, pestilence, sadness, cruelty, hatred, etc., etc?

Who's handiwork is all of this? And by 'this' - I mean the negative and the positive. We can see what man does - a hell of lot of evil **** - as well as good - but to whom do we attribute the rest?

Many Jewish people of the holocuast lost their faith in God because of this.

Others say it was all about freewill which God has given humanity, without any reservations of strings attached
