@Irishk,
I thought it was amusing how in the shows pre-interviews, Holly (current show) has compared herself to Sandra (who won twice in past shows).

Sandra would never have done anything so stupid as putting sand in Dan's shoes and throwing them in the water. Holly is nowhere as clever, for sure!

@Reyn,
Sandra was one of a kind, so Holly is delusional LOL. By this point in the season, Sandra would have already tangled with both Sash and Brenda and called them out at TC. When she did that with Russell, she gained mad respect from the Heroes...and ended up getting all their votes at the finale. Russell's vote count was zero as I recall LOL.

Bye-bye Brenda. Even Sash voted her out. What a woild. I was wondering how long it would take for someone to step up and get rid of her. Who's next? The coming attractions show Na in trouble again. Probably just a come-on.

I was mighty impressed that Jane won the challenge. What a tough of bird. Wow.

Chase is not the most astute player I've seen.

Did I miss it, or did they not show the reaction of the winning team to the burned out tent? Wouldn't they have been just a little upset? Or were they too full of pizza to care?

@Roberta,
They didn't show the winning team's reaction. Nor did they show whose bright idea it was to stack the WOODEN crates around the fire LOL. Group effort???

Gotta say I'm kinda shocked that Brenda didn't 'scramble'. No fight whatsoever?? Glad she's gone, but was a little disappointed she didn't at least try to manipulate Sash for the idol or have a show down with Na before TC.

From the preview - "Naonka's antics have the tribe in an uproar"!! Omygosh LOL...what in the world is she up to now? She's already taken their food and socks!

Lastly, does anyone else think Jeff was being just a bit sarcastic when he asked Purple Kelly that question and used the word 'wisdom'?? LOL.

@Irishk,
I only saw the very end - so of course I was surprised about Brenda - will watch the rest tonight. But as far as purple Kelly - I agree she is plain dumb and Jeff is playing it.

Yeah, I was also surprised that they didn't show the reaction of the other team in regards to the fire. Or, it got edited out.

I remember in the beginning, before they went to the first challenge, I think 3-4 were re-arranging the crates, etc around the fire. I was incredulous as to how daft this idea was!

Brenda's reaction at council was priceless! I really think that she had expected Sash to give her his immunity idol, and when he didn't, she knew that she had been had, which is why she said "Ouch!" when Jeff snuffed out her torch.

Brenda was blind-sided big time. Laughing

Always happens to people when they get over confident.

@Reyn,
Jeff posted in his blog that they're lucky the entire camp didn't burn down.

Linkat: He agrees with you about Purple Kelly. He also doesn't think she can win.

He had some interesting comments on Brenda and why he thinks she gave up so easily.

@Reyn,
You're welcome. I wish he'd tell us what Naonka does next week to make the tribe so angry!! If Kelly B. was still there, I'd be worried for her -- remember when Na threatened to throw her leg in the fire? LOL.

@Irishk,
Did you watch the Ponderosa videos?

It seems like they had a new tribal council the next night.

The three on the jury were saying that something terrible must have happened for them to have back to back tribal councils.

@boomerang,
Just watched. Yikes, they wouldn't even have had enough time for the two challenges, so something weird happened and it had to involve Naonka, right?

For those who want to watch, it's Part 2:

Brenda/Ponderosa Pt. 2

For Canadian viewers who might not be able to watch via the CBS website, all the Ponderosa videos are on youtube.

ETA...next week is a recap show because of Thanksgiving, I think. We'll probably have to wait until the following week to find out why the sudden, second TC.

@Reyn,
I know, especially after seeing that preview. But, as Roberta said, maybe they're just going for drama with that. Still, I can't believe it won't have something to do with Naonka, but what's she NOT done? There was the assault on Kelly B. over the idol clue, the theft from individuals (the socks), the stealing from the tribe (food and supplies) and her secret diary threats (putting Kelly B's leg in the fire). So, what's left? LOL. Can't wait.

In the meantime, here's a very interesting exit interview given by Brenda. Not sure I agree with her on the idol strategy, but her comments on the fire were interesting.

Punches were thrown at last night's Survivor: Nicaragua Tribal Council.

What, you missed it? So did we—but the latest castoff remembers it differently, at least when it comes to that puzzling voting-ballot sketch.

So what did it mean?

We got the answer to that question and more in today's exit interview...

Brenda Lowe, the former Miami Dolphins cheerleader and one of this season's smartest players, was voted out after her strongest—and most unlikely—ally, NaOnka, flipped. But Brenda believes she got her revenge...with a drawing.

What was the symbol you sketched on your voting ballot for NaOnka?
That symbol was the hidden immunity idol. Sorry my artistic abilities weren't that good, but I was trying to show people that NaOnka has it, so watch out. It was my own way of punching back to her without outing her and losing it at T.C. My own little hint—whether people picked up on it or not—it was my going-away present for her.

Who else knows NaOnka has the Idol?
She told me Benry suspected it, because he felt it in her bag. It wasn't out in the open, so no one really knew she had it—except Sash.

Is Sash as strange as he seems?
He's very soft-spoken. I never met anybody like that. I would call him Obama because he's so diplomatic with everything he says. He would think for every word of his sentence not to piss off anybody. You really feel that "I shouldn't trust you because you're taking too long to talk." [Laughs.] But Sash is intelligent, he's a smart guy, he knows how to work people, he did work people. He was good with the guys, he was good with me, he had alliances all over the place. That's not easy to do.

Were you surprised as you seemed that Chase and Sash voted for you, and that Sash didn't give you his Idol?
No. What people don't know is that I had trusted my main alliance with NaOnka with a little plan I had hatched, to take out Sash. I told NaOnka if Sash comes back [from the ziplining reward challenge with the guys] and says, "We need to keep Marty," we can't trust Sash. But he came back and said "We need to vote out Marty," [so I knew] we could trust him. But NaOnka went and told Sash, "Brenda's willing to take you out, watch out." So it was with that mentality that Sash said, "There's no way I'm going to give this girl my Idol. Anyone who's targeting me is gone."

Why ally with NaOnka? Did you regret it as she revealed more about her character as the game progressed?
Her character is...whew. Wow! It was really, really shocking to watch on television. But out there she was a sweet girl to me, she was my friend, she made me laugh. I trusted her 1,000 percent. And she took a lot of attention off of me. At the vote with Shannon, the whole tribe wanted me gone, and they didn't even know me. The more attention I could take off of me as a threat the better it was, and everyone wanted her out. While they were aiming for her, we could protect her and take them out. That was the strategy to keep her.

Did anyone get blamed for the fire at camp?
The person I saw put wood on that fire after I covered it and we all protected it was Jane [but] I don't think it was intentional. It was such a big loss we can't blame somebody—it was a mistake.

What is your major regret of the game?
We don't have enough time today to talk about it, but the major one was letting go of that Hidden Immunity Idol when I could've gotten it for myself. [I let NaOnka take it because] I didn't want that target on my back—I already had a target on my back. She had it, my hands are clean. And she's my friend—that's what I thought.

Another huge regret is underestimating everyone in the game. I absolutely underestimated everyone in the game and they outplayed me. They got me—they really got me.

Really? At the end maybe, but I find that hard to believe earlier on in the game. She appeared to me to be pretty ruthless. If anything, maybe she over-reacted to some, like Marty?

Perhaps over-confidence was one of her failings?

Well, yesterday's show was a recap of all that's happened so far, although it seemed like there were some new extra scenes that's been thrown in.

Looking back at some of the characters, I still don't see why Jimmy was voted out so early. I never saw him as a threat. Yet, players like Sash still remain. He's a least as much of a threat as Brenda was.

Thoughts?

@Reyn,
Ha! I made Mom watch with me in the kitchen while we were chopping veggies and making the pies!

I don't get them voting Jimmy out first either! I'd be thrilled to go to the final two with a millionaire sitting next to me lol. Especially if he had zero challenge wins under his belt. This crew confuses me. They really should be gunning for Fabio while they have the chance, but nooooooo...they'll wait until he's wearing that immunity necklace week after week and then sit around wondering how the heck they underestimated his outlast abilities.

I forgot Tyrone was a fireman LOL! Don't you think he got a good laugh when the tribe burned down their camp??? Never woulda happened with him still there!

Sash is slimy (good player, though). I think his fatal error may be in making final two alliances with just about everyone! From previous seasons, that rarely works...just pisses people off LOL.

Can't wait to see what all the hoopla is about next week!
