I would be alarmed if it WAS ok to drive around NYC with loaded assault weapons in the backseat. Imagined every other guy had one of these would have this toy in the back? Now THAT would be a safe world!

Load it at the range if you are going to obliterate stuff there.

My only point was that it wasn't illegal (at least in AZ).

I know...the number 1 cause of death in Arizona is from "assault gun" fire due to all those people carrying these guns in their car.

At least 400-500,000 people die from assault rifle death every year in AZ.

It's like a war zone there.

Nice gun Dag. Is that yours?

I'm actually on the fence about not allowing convicted felons to bear arms. It's pretty easy to get convicted of a so called "felony" these days, then if you clean up your act and are successful later in life, you become a prime target of crime. Take the Redskin's player that was recently killed. He armed himself with a machete because he couldn't have a gun.

Gotcha.

I wasn't sure if your post stating that it was illegal was a broad, sweeping comment (people do tend to make those, especially on this issue), or if you intended it to be specific to NY.

"There is no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is to crack down on criminals. When there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking the law. Create a nation of lawbreakers and then you can cash in on the guilt. Now that's the system!"

Selling orchids without a license. The importation and selling of orchids is a violation of the Lacey Act and is a felony.

In Mississippi, it's a felony to sell untagged oysters.

Shipping lobsters and lobster tails in opaque plastic bags instead of paper bags. David McNab, a seafood importer was convicted of violating the Lacey Act and is currently serving 8-years in prison.

Under West Virginia law, it is a felony to teach a bear to wrestle.

Under Ohio law, it is a felony to send spam, or unsolicited email advertisements. While I hate spam as much as the next guy, should it really be a felony?

That shows that freedom means nothing to u.
U have the freedom to feel that way.

it shows absolutely nothing.

i have not stated why i'm not interested so kindly keep your speculations and sweeping statements about me to yourself.

i'm not interested not because of the topic but for personal reasons. next time think before you post and offend people.

cj, your "victim" is gutting your case.

A sympathetic example he is not....

RH, the absence of jurisdiction in government
to interfere with any person 's possession of guns
is unrelated to sympathy for any individual.

Its the same as:
no matter how nasty or leftist or dangerous someone is,
government has no authority to stop him from reading a newspaper or writing one.

If the man himself
has effectively declared war upon decent society
by criminal acts, he shud be isolated therefrom for many years, or permanently.

If a forger has too dangerous a history of recidivism,
he shud be incarcerated or banished;
forget about trying to stop him from getting his hands on ball point pens.

nobody's interfering with his lawful posession of anything.

it's his unlawful posession of arms that is the problem, as well as physical threatening of his girlfriend, and owning arms while being a former felon(unlawful) that are the problem and for which he will be prosecuted.

the police had every right to stop and prosecute him. read the articles about this case. there's plenty online. simple google search of his name will also reveal more about this person. then post.
