You're missing the forest for the trees. This is election year sensationalism.

Bloomberg and his NYPD are anti-2A. So's Guliani, Obama, Clinton, even Romney to a degree.

Either word up on the Constitution or never expect to be President. The NRA and its members will make sure of it.

How, exactly?

Let me ask you a hypothetical, David:

Assume a man walks into a bank, pulls out a handgun, and demands that the teller give him all the money, which he/she does. Next, assume a law enforcement officer happens upon him during the act, takes his gun away from him, and locks him up in jail.

What property crimes have been committed, in your opinion?

The bank robbery; ( not the disarmament ).
The officer was defending the bank,
which is proper.

David

Interesting answer. But was the officer defending the bank, or enforcing the law that makes bank robbery illegal?

We have close to 10% of the vote.

The title: "NYPD finds "gigantic cache" - arrests lawful owner" suggests that you were wrong (NYPD in fact acted perfectly according to the law) and then tried to make the "point" be something else (the alleged anti-2nd amendment stance).

They built their case of public opinion by releasing photos of the "cache" and calling it that before announcing the charges against the guy. It's anti-gun propoganda pure and simple.

The easiest way is of course looking at the news, printed and on the web - but perhaps you've different sources proving your claim?

And how should the information be given before the press conference?

Did you read (carefully) what I originally posted and do you know what propoganda is?

All it said was that he was arrested on "criminal weapons charges" yet all the stuff sppears to be legal - gun show/surplus crap.

People who think like you will be the death of all of us.

Well, if I only would rely on what your post ...

I've read the 109th precinct FULL press release - and the media, which published (most of) that.

Interesting answer. But was the officer defending the bank,

In your hypothetical example,
he did both concurrently.

I think he may be indicating that you have blinders when it comes to gun topics.
