How an argument be elliptical ? Since in an argument, one tends to go in circles - I think every argument is a cricle !

Assuming that an argument is a. circular, and b. open to digression or tangents, one can conclude that an argument can indeed be elliptical, circular with expansions at either end.

IF we accept that the sky can indeed fall, then it goes on to show that the sky is being held up by something.

What ?

I have an atlas, but it sits on a shelf, it most certainly does not hold up the sky, or the earth for that matter...

If it indeed is turtles, then why does it rain cats and dogs when the sky becomes slippery ?

Me still thinks that thy knowledge on this matter leaves a lot to be desired.

By the previous definition I could be an argument because I'm circular with expansions on either end.

I think it was Kepler what confuted this.

As to things astronomical (which is nothing more than the naming of stars, now that I look at the word, so any astronomer who attempts to do anything more is overstepping her bounds), I think, upon reading today's posts, that there must be a full moon afoot.

(a full moon afoot is a benign side effect of pooping in the woods (for bipedal mammals))...

A full moon afoot sounds a lot like an ass-kicking to me.

We ain't got no astronominers in this here thread, 'cause this thread is only for very, very, extremely serious matters . . . such as poop in the woods, and ass-kickin' . . .
