I think so... hard to say for sure as my view was obscured (I knew it would be from the trees) so I didn't see the actual rising, but it seemed to rise just south of due east. I could see a glow early on but then the cloud cover thickened. I didn't mind waiting -- I was with my horse who loves standing around with me in the dark. We've waited for the moon before. It was a very successful evening, all in all.

Azimuth 90 degrees is due east and azimuth 180 degrees is due south.
At 01:35 PDT (0835 GMT, 2003 Apr 17) the moon shall be at its highest at your location.

Horoscope fans might already know the following quote from C.G.Jung's writings.

"As I am a psychologist, I am particularly interested in the particular light the horoscope sheds on certain complications in the character. In cases of difficult psychological diagnosis, I usually get a horoscope in order to have a futher point of view from an entirely different angle. I must say that I have very often found that the astrological data ellucidated certain points which I otherwise would have been unable to understand.

"Astrology is assured of recognition from psychology without further restrictions because Astrology represents the summation of all the psychological knowledge of antiquity."

But, the POWER, the masterly presence, the charisma .... Doesn't that sort of compensate for the effort?
I'd LOVE to be a Leo for just one day!!!
