Buda and Pest are the one of the most stunning twin cities in Eastern Europe - I lived there for abt 6 months in 95-6 when the country was just coming to terms with capitalism.....had n apartment right by the Danube, overlooking the Chain Bridge - it was one of the most romatic (without an amor) place I have ever stayed...

Anyone come travelling with me?

that was me!

Piffka had offered me Seattle even before you kindly offered me a catnap in an aunt-infested spare room in lovely Oz, Margo, and I would love to come but money has a tendency to run out.... Most of the time in HK I'll be working hard! Sad Give that Possum a good squeeze from me - no risk of asthma at 10000 miles!

Gautam, I think it was your description of Budapest (or I guess I should say Buda and Pest?) that pushed me over the edge. I love to see old architecture. It makes me happy.

Clary -- I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip. Gads, you won't be back 'til June and you're leaving next week? Waaaaaaaaah. All of Spring???

Oh Margo please don't be embarrassed, your poor little pink cheeks! Now I feel embarrassed toooooooo :S SadSmile Confused Embarrassed

I work hard and don't see the money for months, years even - I get royalties on the books written, eventually.

And England is nice in the summer so I might as well make the most...

Margo that isn't fair; it always rains in Sydney in spring, winter or autumn in my huge experience, whereas
In Devon, Glorious Devon
It rains Six Days out of Seven.

So we have one really good day EVERY WEEK.

And with global warming we seem to have hot dry summers these days, so there. I take back the Possum squeeze.

Today's message from the astrologer is:
Completion of a long-term goal of some kind, perhaps creative in nature, could lead to new friends and an increase in income.

Well, I read that AFTER I had sent all but one section of my guidebook off to London, feeling v good about it! All I have left to do is Nightlife, not my thing really (how about Bed with a good book?)

Bed & book = excellent end to any day, especially in the world of travel & adventure, Clary. Every now & then you can pause from your reading & contemplate becoming rich soon & all those new friends! Very Happy

Then it must be an as yet unknown source of riches coming your way! Very Happy
I hope it's squillions, Clary!

Margo arrives in Melbourne tomorrow. Our plans are flexible, depending on other commitments she has here. But it looks like we may visit the Caravaggio exhibition, have a meal at some stage & I've invited her out to visit my abode & meet my cat!!! Laughing
Oh, & she's staying at the rather ritzy Windsor Hotel ... That goil travels in style! Very Happy

YES! yes!!! At last my moment has come! Very Happy

Pisces Horoscope for week of April 8, 2004

Piscean actress Mercedes Ruehl won the Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1991 movie, "The Fisher King." Taking the stage at the awards ceremony, she exclaimed, "I shall never waitress again, and you are my witnesses!" She was almost 43 years old at the time. I foresee a comparable breakthrough for you in the coming months, Pisces. It may not be quite as dramatic as Ruehl's, but it will definitely free you forever from a task that has stifled or demeaned your spirit. And you can lay the groundwork for this victory now.

Oh yes! You will never waitress again, Olga! A bright new future awaits, complete with choirs of harmonizing angels and soft neon lighting! Get that satin balldress out because it's time for the Golden Globes!!

Seriously though, I hope it's true. My Piscean travelling companion Simon needs just this sort of breakthrough too.

Have a good catfest, and eat some lovely scrummy Melbourne food for me! Forget the Caravaggio, pass the chardonnay!
