@JGoldman10,
Quote:A conspiracy theory is an explanation for an event or situation that invokes a conspiracy by sinister and powerful groups, often political in motivation, when other explanations are more probable.
In this definition I am not a conspiracy theorist. But, I ask again, are you aware where the negative connotation for the term "conspiracy theorist' comes from?
Quote:I have an American Christian penpal who thinks there's a socialist agenda tied to the Covid-19 crisis and pandemic. He emailed me about this.
He is absolutely right and spot on!
Quote:I think he said his pastor and the members of his church agree with this.
So?
Quote:I don't know if such a claim is factual or not but to me that sounds like the rambling of a conspiracy theorist.
No, he really is right. But here you connect again 'conspiracy theorist" with another negative word: rambling. So you can't read and think clearly about conspiracies. All by design.
Just look closely and clearly and surpress for a while the tendency not to believe it by reflex action. Yes, you need an open mind and some courage.
What you will find isn't pretty. But knowledge is needed in these crazy times.
