Are online retailers and auction sites affected by the Wuhan Flu scare? Have certain sites been temporary shut down or had restrictions imposed upon them because of the scare?

@JGoldman10,
It's not called Wuhan Flu. It's not flu. Call it COVID-19.

Online retailers are slammed with orders.

Which you would know if you read a newspaper online. And yes, you can get updates on your smartphone. Everyone can.

@jespah,
Okay. What about auction sites, like eBay?

You claim "online retailers are 'slammed' with orders." Which online paper did you read that from?

@JGoldman10,
I know because part of my job is to check. I also read the Boston Globe and the NY Times online. I read CNN and I even glance at Fox if the headline grabs me. It is not hard to go to these sites, find coronavirus coverage (it's everywhere) and click to get updates.

From the Washington Post this morning,
Quote:
Amazon Prime members have reported struggles to get many items on time. Prime Now and AmazonFresh grocery delivery spots are nearly impossible to find, and the company even temporarily shut down its Prime Pantry program, which allows customers to fill a box with household items.

Amazon spokeswoman Keri Bertolino said in a statement that some deliveries have been delayed as the company works to balance customer needs with safety of its workers.

“We’ve changed our logistics, transportation, supply chain, purchasing, and third-party seller processes to prioritize stocking and delivering items that are a higher priority for our customers,” she added.

On the home page of eBay.com, there is a statement from the company:

Quote:
eBay is blocking or removing items on our marketplace that make false health claims related to COVID-19. We are also blocking or removing listings that may violate US laws or regulations, eBay policies, or that offer unfair pricing for our buyers. Items being blocked include:

Health care masks including N95/N100 and surgical masks
Hand Sanitizer/Gel
Disinfecting Wipes
Should you see an item that violates our policies, please don’t hesitate to report it.

Despite the local measures being put in place to deal with COVID-19, most eBay transactions are occurring without impact. The eBay team is in contact with our shipping partners, and to date, USPS, UPS and FedEx are reporting that domestic deliveries are largely continuing as usual.

You would have seen the statement if you went to eBay.com

Let's address the term Wuhan Flu or possible implied racial slur that is Chinese Flu:

Will you stop using this errant name JGoldman?
