What's the deal with this "coronavirus" people are talking about?

@izzythepush,
All an attention whore cares about is getting attention. Goldman has succeeded beyond his wildest dreams with this thread.

@Linkat,
It might have to do with both of what you said, poorer jobs mean poorer people which results in poorer hospitals. Probably have fewer health care workers as well. Also, really not able to social distance as they can't really stock up and have to go to the store more often. There are simply too many blacks who live in poor communities with apartments and houses close together with more people living in each. I would guess.

I don't know the answer except for more education with more opportunities for educating in better schools by investing in schools in the poorer communities seems a logical idea. It seems a better idea than making a crapshoot out of charter schools with leaving behind more people than get to go to better schools. Also investing in homelife with child care for working moms and things like that would also be a good idea. We need to pay higher taxes if we want to improve inequality, something no one wants to do even though, in the long run, it's bound to improve our overall economy.

Sorry, one thought led to another. I guess we need to address what's in front of us first us. In my opinion, more money needs to go to poorer neighborhoods and poorer rural America, but I know it won't.

@Setanta,
It's the only title with the word, "Coronavirus" in it to talk about it, I guess.

Speaking of which, I know there are so many deaths, too many. I read about one death of a person who wrote a song I always liked on the internet. He wrote many songs. I doubt many of you knew him, but John Prine died of Coronavirus today.

@Linkat,
There reasons are socio economic, no one cause is to blame, but poverty and the associated conditions like bad diet and poor housing have a major effect.

Mr Goldman has started threats on his poor diet.

@revelette3,
I suggest that a hell of a lot of people know who John Prince was. I saw him live in the early 70s.

Threads not threats, bloody spell check. The Kid is on the computer and I’m on an iPad.

@izzythepush,
I know what you mean, I got another spell check and works a bit better, but then I badly need it. Most of my mistakes are not typos like Set's and yours, but just bad spelling and grammar skills. The add on I got is "Grammarly."

@izzythepush,
I was referring to people who are in authority over you in your country in any way. Your prime minister, other politicians and people who work in government, church leaders, the police, etc.

@revelette3,
Hey buddy, that was spell-check. I don't spend a lot of time editing my posts in a waste-of-bandwidth thread like this.

@JGoldman10,
People in authority over me? I live in a Democracy, I thought you did too.

Your tv evangelists are despised universally. The Church of England is nothing like that. The A B of C, Justin Welby, Is quite a decent bloke, when he does speak it’s on issues of real morality, poverty, homelessness, pollution, greed in the City, that sort of thing. He doesn’t spout a load of horseshit about abortion, gun ownership or homophobic nonsense.

You know nothing about this country, but you act like it’s an enclave of America. We’re not like you’ we told the pilgrim father’s to **** off and take their puritanical **** with them.

We’re not a religious nation at all, Chaucer’s depiction of the clergy should tell you that.

Falstaff is the most popular character in Shakespeare despite being a villain. That’s because he has three qualities the English admire. The first two, wit and good living are liked all over, but the third quality irreverence is all ours. That’s why we don’t pay much attention to those in authority. If you want to kiss your evangelist’s arseholes go ahead, just don’t expect anyone over here to think it’s a good thing.

@izzythepush,
I guess the UK needs to vote for someone else as well - it appears that the UK also has this issue that blacks have a higher rate as well:

"A study of more than 2,000 patients critically ill with the virus in England, Wales and Northern Ireland has found that 35% are black, Asian or other ethnic minority. This is more than double the representation in the wider population."

Says the man who allowed himself to be drafted into the Vietnam slaughterhouse.

Try getting a group of British kids to swear a pledge of loyalty and see what you get.
