Bella - The voice of reason
Question MG
Would you have have an objection if parents sat down in the evening and had a glass or two of wine?
How about if they were massaging each other?
What about if they sat down saying "whew, I've had a rough day, I think I'll smoke a cigarette"
What if they sat and ate a REALLY heavy meal, something they enjoy doing on occassion.
ALL of those above produce both physical and mental changes.
Don't ever ask me do make any kind of decision making after after a massage, my brain has simply check out for awhile.
Yes, people who smoke a joint are actually dull to someone who hasn't smoked and is sitting around with them.
So?
Some people are dull who don't smoke.
From what I can remember in my misspent youth, when I smoked a joint, I felt like:
I had just had a great massage AND had just finished a big meal of all my favorite foods, and I wanted to have sex.
You know, that wasn't all bad.
Unforntunately MG you can't dictate to parents the types of things they want to do to relax a little. They may not want to meditate in front of a candle, or engage in exercise, or do other things you may think are more appropriate for relaxing.
This doesn't make them bad parents. Like Bella said, a toke or two isn't going to blow you away. If your house caught on fire, you'd be able to get the kids out.
Did you ever see the movie - Reefer Madness?
