It does not matter what anyone says becuase people will say and do what they like regardless of if it's right or wrong. In my opnion you can smoke dope and shoot you'r vains full of herrion all you wan't, I could care less. Think about the whole process you go through, you'r high for what maybe a couple of hours? and then you have to do it all over again... To me that is such a brainless and completly stupid action! It's unecesarey, yeah yeah I know so are alot of other things, so please spare me and don't play that old card.

#1 - I never have been, am not, and never will be a "hippie" I was born in 1958, and when I saw the hippies of the 60's, I always thought, "God, why don't they take a bath. In the 70's, if I had to stereotype myself, I leaned toward preppie.

#2 Where are you making the connection between pot and "herrion"?

You're high for a few hours from smoking pot and HAVE to do it again? What planet are you from?

So, you have 2 or 3 drinks and feel high for a few hours.

BTW, I haven't smoked pot for probably 20 years, I just didn't get into it that much.

I keep hearing this argument that anyone who smokes pot is doing so 24/7. This whole thing is just so silly.

Question Baylor.....Who/what decided mj is right or wrong? The law? See my above post on that.

You're the one not thinking straight. Or actually, you're the one not having an independant thought. It's much easier that way, isn't it?

duh...
Ok, First things first, Have you ever tried it? Do you even know what you are freaking out about? forget everything the D.A.R.E. Program ever taught you about marijuana, it's all bunk, second, why the hell would you contemplate telling the police?

They are your parents, before you found out that they smoke a little pot, did you want to call the cops because they drank a little alcohol? Third, you need to chill out, at least your parents aren't crack heads or something.

I had a friend whos parents were highly addicted to crack cocaine, tore her family apart, but she never called the cops. Do you know why? Because she loved them. So quit being such a cry-baby and chill the hell out, its only pot.

Edit--- Sorry for bumping this old ass thread, Didnt realize how old it was when I posted but the first comment got me so angry at the stupid 13 year old Evil or Very Mad , again sorry.

The author of this post is no longer here. I suspect she turned her parents in and is now a ward of the court. She will be placed in an abusive foster home. So sad!

I wonder if this posting would have been so long with so many different ideas if she had found her parents liqueur cabinet keys and found out they were heavy drinkers? I mean if all of the other stuff like food and clothes and having a good job was taken care of? Pot does no more and probaly even less than drink does.

Thank God. When I saw this relic bumped, I was afraid my daughter had discovered my secret.

She has a key to my apt and I left my papers out.

Certainly not. I had quit before she was born and had my first post-empty-nest j a month ago. Twenty-three years later.

Why on earth would you think she would know?

Some of us who don't evil-ize pot are even older than baby boomers.

Yay for crashing through age biases.

Oh. That's a different scenario than the one I was presuming. I had envisioned the sort of stereotypical situation where everyone knows about some thing going on in the house, but plays along as if not, to maintain the peace or continuity. Like the wife who knows that the husband goes and has a beer or two with the boys after work, but lets him think that she believes him when he says he is staying late to tie up loose ends at work, because its not doing any harm, and why fix what ain't broke. I think I've seen a couple of situations like that in a household or two I've been in, so I was doing some (bad, it turns out - I didn't even know your daughter's age) guesswork.

Does that make any sense?

Yes. You assumed incorrectly.

Happens all the time, generally speaking.

I thought you may have read a few of my posts about my opinion of parents using drugs with children in the house.

<Please excuse freakin double post>
