I had hopes of starting a serious, thought-provoking cow thread, but apparently CrazieLady and panzade have other thoughts.

I'll just stand quietly in the background and watch as they dismantle my beloved thread.

Cows are cool. They all stand in the same direction, you can tip 'em, fondle their breasts without fear of consequence and in fact be rewarded with lactation in wild abandon, and then you can eat them. Natures perfect beast.

Good choice, msolga, but I don't recall seeing that as an option. What will it be, Holstein or Jersey?

You're on the clock.

Time for a Cub story:

Though we moved to the "country" in '97, the city limits have quickly expanded. There was one pasture we would drive by on the way to a friends house that always had cattle in it.

One day, boy cub said, "Look at the cows."

I said, "Those are actually black angus. That's the kind we eat."

Cub, big eyed exclaims "We eat black anus?"

Hey, it got me outta having to stop at McDonalds for at least a week!

I've always wondered something, msolga. Now that your here, perhaps you could enlighten me. Who would win a fight between a cow and a kangaroo?

Living in the States I've never had the opportunity to witness such a spectacular display of nature, but I've heard tell from some Australian friends that such occurences are rather commonplace down under.

Australia sounds so exciting!

Jersey = Cute brown cow with big eyes. Often seen with yellow flowers on her head. Goes by Daisy.
Holstein = Black and white cow, larger than Jersey, but still pretty eyes. Goes by Bessie.
