@izzythepush,
You could easily quote my post containing proof of your accusation. Couldn’t be easier—if it actually existed.

@Lash,
The cost of premiums via Obamacare is lower but states can opt out, making it completely unaffordable for average families—not even just poor families. And as Trump proved, that type of care is vulnerable to the whims of the next president.

Lives of decent Americans are cast to the wind.

The amount of money you earn doesn’t measure your worth as a human being, nor should it buy the quality of doctor visits, operations, and treatment for illness on a sliding scale—leaving the poorest among us to suffer and die while the wealthy think nothing of getting what they need.

@Lash,
If you insist.

Even Trump haters acknowledge that his unyielding stance against continued payoffs (started by Clinton and continued through Obama) and talk just as belligerent as Kim’s, along with working closely with SK and China to set this table was the driving force behind Kim’s brimming acquiescence.

Kim is used to enormous payoffs.

He needs a plan B quick.

Looks like the problem is rapidly approaching solved.

[Good cop, bad cop is a tried and true negotiating strategy.

Trump perfected crazy bad cop, and worked with China and SK on their roles.

We saw him meeting with them; we heard Trump’s rhetoric about their roles in the pressure on NK.

Why do you pretend that you don’t know?

Sorta psychotic.

Of course, anything is possible, but it definitely appears that Kim is promising to stop rattling his sabre and make nice.

The direction is quite appealing, and a gargantuan improvement on the past few decades.

If Trump's rhetoric and pressure has forced Kim to alter his drum beating and missile firings, Trump has accomplished one thing none of his predecessors could.

The inability to say that is a severe handicap.

Try it.

@oralloy,
If this sentiment reflects a former conservative moving toward a more democratic ethos, I choose not to press my point. 🙂

@izzythepush,
Evidence of distain for previous bribe-based methods, acknowledgement that crazy talk lured Kim to deal, and hopefulness that it works.

Observations and one bit of evidence that I thought it was nutty not to acknowledge trump’s odd method had brought Kim to agree to what he’d never agreed to before.

Hardly castigating for not cheerleading.

Reading back, I seem so nice.🙂

@Lash,
That's not just giving it a positive spin, it's wilful blindness. I think you actually believe you're own bullshit. (That's not a good thing btw.)

@izzythepush,
Trump’s crazy talk did result in Kim agreeing to talk about disarmament. That’s a fact.

Nobody, including me, could divine the outcome. I acknowledged that.

I hoped it would be successful. I had reservations.

I thought it was weird that people here refused to acknowledge the change in Kim was a direct result of trump’s behavior, risky though it was.

I stand behind all of that.

There’s no legitimate criticism of those rather benign facts.

@Lash,
North Korea has been wanting to talk to an American president for the last twenty years. Trump didn't do anything except **** everything up.

I'm still a conservative. Mostly it reflects my memory of Obamacare passing.

Of course, the term "conservative" is a broad brush to paint someone with. It depends on the issue.

Got a link? This is a statement, and not a very good one from an information gathering perspective

@Lash,
It's common knowledge, for those of us who are remotely aware of global politics. What you're doing is called sealioning. Wasting people's time by asking them to prove the flaming obvious. Second time today.

First google result brought up this Independent article.

Quote:
So who now has the upper hand after the trading of public insults and rocket-rattling between Trump and Kim Jong-un? The most immediate victor is the North Korean leader. He has succeeded in getting direct, bilateral talks, something successive US Presidents have rejected in the past as it would have been seen as rewarding Pyongyang for its bad behaviour and acknowledging equality of status.
