Well, I'm not going to start a pissing match here but I will repspond in the spirit of this forum.

I don't mind being questioned. I surely wouldn't post on political and religious threads if I minded. But your post was clearly a criticism toward this thread and I believe that I have every right to defend my opinions and my reasons for creating it. This is in no way, shape or form a request for you to avoid my threads nor is it a request for you to leave if you do not share my opinion. I value the opinion of any intelligent poster. I simply said that if this thread isn't to your liking that you should not post. Take it how you will.

PS - My knickers aren't bunched. You gotta be wearin' 'em to get 'em bunched.

I read the threads, dlowan, but have pretty much stopped posting to them.

There have been a couple of keystroke v history discussions which have been interesting. These women are going to a lot of trouble to investigate their partner's habits - and then worrying about how they're going to explain their knowledge. It's an interesting moral dilemna they find themselves in. The "right on, sistah" responses they get are puzzling to me, but interesting nonetheless.

Most of the time I try to be nice if I answer at all. A lot is just browsing more than anything now. Sometimes I'm sarcastic in a semi nice kind of way. I answered one posters question one time and she had this thing so encrypted in abbreviations (is this the language of our future...kind of like New math?) bcuz, b4, u no, ...you know the routine, that I actually had to get my 21 year old daughter to look at it and see if she could make any sense of it....it was pretty funny. After a few minutes of reading the post and re-reading the post, she finally said to me, "What the f*ck is she asking anyway?" I laughed out loud at that one. I must have answered right....the poster thanked me.....

It just means...guys are turned on my big boobs, nice hair, whatever. Women are turned on by looks as well, but there are other factors that give them the gut "wow, that guy's hot" affect. This is why women read romance novels and watch romantic movies for stimulation, and guys look at Penthouse.

Good point, you never see men getting jealous of the romance novels.

Maybe an entire new forum can be made for "All things Porn". instead of lumping porn into the Relationships and Marriage forum. It could include in its description that this is the forum to ask your questions about porn additions, porn problems, handling and SO's pre-occupations with porn.

That kind of thing. First it will get a good majority of the porn posts out of the Relationship and Marriage forum (maybe) and anyone who never wants to visit the Porn Forum doesn't have to go in there all.

Good idea, bad idea?

I think most of us feel that there are enough categories.

I don't think it will ever see a forum of it's own, Lady J. It's actually fine being where it is, it's just becoming an annoyance to some of the older members. However, the bunny, as usual, much to my dismay, makes good points regarding sensitivity to an issue that might be completely new to a 'just hatched'. I have noticed today that as some of us avoid the threads on the 'hubby into porn' topic, more campadres have shown up, and it's a virtual hug-fest. Can't fault them for finding each other, even if they may not be getting the best advice. At least it's comfort of some sort.

I'm not an older member (yet) and annoyed,
however my suggestion was to consolidate these
threads into one giant porn thread, as the questions
are pretty much the same and the subject matter
too, of course.

Nobody would ask a newbie to search the board
for similar topics, however, how can you click this
sub-categorie and not notice the other 10 threads
about "Why does my husband watch porn?"

Why not read the other threads first, before asking
the exact same question and redundantly open
yet another topic about husband + porn?

CJ - what I marvel at - is that they do read the other threads (or at least the titles) before they post. They often rejoice at finding so many others with the same problem.

Maybe they could have a user group?

Hmmmmmmm - google on husband + porn + addicted + internet - A2K does come up on the first page, but chatcheaters.com is first. I wonder how they come to choose A2K? and there are some handy sites for praying on this issue on the first google search page as well.

Well I'm an Equal Opportunity Fun Poker. New or old member, if you say something completely stupid, I'll mock you, or at least give ya' a good natured ribbing and a noogie.

They shouldn't make a new category, or make a huge thread that stays...people should be able to see the "search" button on the top, and if you enter "porn," a bunch of threads on...porn comes up.

I actually don't think it's a big deal, I could care less. Well actually, it's not the number of threads that bother me, rather than the sheer number of insecure, clueless people.

If you don't want to talk about the porn issue, don't go into the thread. But I like any subject that involves naked women, hence me writing an essay on said topic.
