Dem Rep Praises China, Blames Trump for Deaths

This is helping anything? Trump is not responsible for one death, unless you count terrorists, and Democrats probably do.

Right. When I worked in a coal fired power plant, we called those things either respirators or dust masks.

This Week Has Proven that No Matter What the Press Will be a Group of Miserable Scolds

Here is everyone's MSM. They continue to make things worse.
Quote:
It has been remarkable watching the nation’s media complex behave like they are at the cool kids table in the cafeteria. They act as if they are running the show and dictating who gets to see what, and when we get to see it. While acting out in their usual intolerable ways the press now has a much larger captive audience, which means more people are coming to the realization of how they behave. As a result the polls show a mounting number of people distrust the press.

Over the course of the past few months journalists have been a group of intemperate, petulant cranks. They cannot decide what to get mad about regarding President Trump; the only thing they can agree upon is that they are mad at him. The only thing left for them to do is to go find out why. This has led to a string of blatant contradictions in their reporting.

The early instance had been in reference to the president and a travel ban with China. First he was criticized for not having installed a ban, then when he did he was called ‘’racist’’ for doing so, and now the media has come around full circle and are now feigning outrage because he did not install the ban early enough. This impossible to please attitude has bloomed into full effect the past seven days.

Going back to last weekend we were in the throes of a scripted media outrage towards the White House Coronavirus Task Force director Dr. Deborah Birx. Following an initial call from the press that the President start taking directions from medical professionals he put together an impressive cast of experts, including Dr. Birx, a woman with an impeccable resume. Then she did the unthinkable — she said something complimentary about President Trump. The collective media spent the bulk of last weekend declaring this woman with a stirling decades-long record of medical service to the country had somehow become an invalidated source of medical knowledge because she paid the president a one-sentence compliment.

Additionally, the press had said it was important that they are updated frequently by the administration. Now, after the President saw his approval numbers for handling the crisis mushroom to all-time highs, the same press corps have been squawking about these daily briefings and called for networks to refrain from running them live. The networks want to edit down the briefings to control the messaging. The public meanwhile has been content to stream these live, watch on Fox News or CSPAN, or even follow along on FaceBook.

If you never hear the truth you will not know it, the MSM is not giving you the truth.

It's a good question. Certainly some people around him or allied with him and involved with his campaign won't have missed this danger. GOP office holders (the smart ones if there are any left) in a bunch of regions must by aware as well.

I'd suggest that Trump believes with the help from Fox that he can continue to bully and bluster his way through anything that comes up and that his ideas are better than anyone else's. Because the party is now so invested in him, turning a corner and moving against him is probably not in the cards until he loses. And after that, I think Norm Ornstein is correct in guessing that it will take two more large losses (following on the last mid-term elections) for the GOP to even begin to change.

Novartis back in the spotlight over Trump/Cohen links

Cohen said the fee intended to get him to work as a lobbyist
28th February 2019

Guess what antimalarial sythetic quinine drug they make?

Novartis

President Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen has explained why Novartis paid him $1.2m to act as a consultant on the Trump administration, to the embarrassment of the drugmaker.

Cohen’s testimony in front of a congressional committee yesterday was notable for departing from Novartis’ version of events in a number of respects, including how many times he had contact with the pharma giant, and what Novartis hoped to achieve through the relationship.

He told the House Oversight committee members that Novartis’ $1.2m fee was intended to get him to work as lobbyist who could provide access to President Trump and other government officials, while Novartis has previously suggested it was intended for general information on the administration’s approach to healthcare policy.

Cohen also said he had interacted with Novartis on half a dozen occasions, whereas the company’s original account insisted they had direct contact only once, and he claimed Novartis sought him out, rather than vice versa.

Pressed by lawmakers, Cohen said that Novartis wanted him to help unravel “the enigma of Donald Trump,” adding that he “crossed out” a clause in a contract sent over by the drugmaker that asked him to work as a lobbyist, according to Reuters.

Last year, Novartis rejected claims it misled the Senate over its links to Cohen, and disputed suggestions former CEO Joe Jimenez had multiple discussions with the lawyer. Nevertheless, the case led to the resignation of legal head Felix Ehrat (pictured below), who accepted responsibility for making the payments.

The company has admitted it paid Cohen $100,000 a month for one year for his expertise on the Trump administration, but said previously it broke off contact quickly after it became apparent Cohen wasn’t well informed on health policy.

Novartis’ new CEO Vas Narasimhan has admitted that the payments were a serious error, but has been careful to distance himself from the decision.

In a statement on Cohen’s testimony, the company said it has “previously addressed all questions regarding our relationship with Essential Consultants [Cohen’s company] and we consider this matter closed.”

Novartis’ relationship with Cohen exposed amid the journalist digging and legal wrangling that followed porn star Stormy Daniels’ claim that she had an affair with the President and was paid $130,000 – through Essential Consultant’s bank accounts – for her silence.

@coldjoint,
Trump is always trying to make this entire thing a walk in the park. He should only give out information of which hes been fact hecked and he should keep his big fat mout shut.
Still the news was wrong because this guy ingested Hydroxy chloroquine SULFATE. (different)
SODIUM CHLORIDE , we put that on a nice steak to give it salty taste. WE dont eat SODIUM metal nor breathe in CHLORINE GAS. The guy was acting on his own FROM A DIM ASSERTION BY TRUMP.
Member Trump was talking about "opening the country up on a beautiful Easter Sunday".

Wverybody wants to see there be a virus fighter like the malaria med(NOT THE GOLDFISH BOWL CLEANER).

Good thing he dint start by saying that blood thinners like rat poison can help in destroying virus by increased fluid motion. Soon wed have people eating warfarin cubes and dying of haemolytic strokes

When do ya think hes gonna make a country wide lockdown the law.?? When do ya think hes gonna get omebody rally good to be a top man who wont allow the present fuster cluck to keep going as it is.
If he names sumebody in a line poition like Bush did with Katrina, Trump can fire him or throw him under the bus. The only thing he can do with PEnce is not ask him to run with himnext fall, Trump cant fire Pence

There is a significant difference between Layman and Blatham: Layman actually makes useful posts.

Yes I can. Here is an example of Blatham relying on other people to do his thinking for him:

nor have you any proof of "desperation" or "pretension".

It is pretty obvious that his continual statements of agreement with the views of people that he believes are intellectuals are meant to create the illusion that he also is an intellectual.

Here is an example of Blatham's pretension shining through pretty strongly:
https://able2know.org/topic/275175-323#post-6183040

There are other times where he has acted much the same way, but I don't feel like spending a lot of time digging through his old posts, and the one example that I posted here should suffice.

I agree that blatham is much better off letting other people do all of his thinking for him.

But his attempts at the illusion of intellectualism are pretty goofy. He really doesn't fool anyone. He should just humbly accept the wisdom of more able minds without trying to act like he is one of them.

2 A national emergency (ya think covid qualifies?) Prhaps you dont know this in Austria but I believe that the virus is unable to read road maps so it doesnt know to stay away from certain states where lockdowns are "OPTIONAL"

Its kinda funny that most of these governors are GOP Trumpies. So whil hes clutzing around clueless as a leech, the country is lading the woorld in ****. THANK YOU MR TRUMP. Your doin a great job. Lotta your boys down here wanna give you a BJ youre so great.

Like most things the MSM is spouting, (and you're swallowing hook, line, and sinker) gross exaggerations, if not outright untruths, are standard fare.

Oh, and by-the-by, your "clueless as a leech" analogy couldn't be more off-key.

If there's any critter more single-minded in their intent and purpose, than a leech, please let me know.
