Who should be Hillary's running mate?

I saw a thing suggesting Michelle Obama. I sort of lean to Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Sanders would have to join the Democratic Party, I suppose. I like Al Franken too.

@edgarblythe,
Not sure about Michelle. As far as I know, her only qualification is having lived with a president for what will be 8 years. All of your other choices, I would support. Especially Bernie Sanders. Problem is, VPs don't have squat for power, so not sure how much he could change if he/they got elected.

@FBM,
edit
The bully pulpit is/can be very important. Being VP gave Gore the opportunity to run. It was his own fault he did not know how to campaign effectively.

@edgarblythe,
There is that. And if the prez were incapacitated, I wouldn't be worried if either Warren or Sanders were at the helm. I don't know much about Franken's record, but from what little I've seen, he would probably be fine, too.

@FBM,

@wolfskin,
But you forget he had Bush as a sock puppet. Either the stupidest or second stupidest president in history. We liberals are having a disagreement about that fact.,

You wouldn't know a fact if it bit you.

@edgarblythe,
I hope she does not choose either Elizabeth or Bernie. They are much more valuable where they are.

I wouldn't be surprised if she were to pick someone safe like Charlie Crist. He is from a state she needs to win and they both owe each other favors from the 2008 election.

Good thinking. I don't know Crist well enough.

To me one of the most valuable chores for a running mate is to win and look good doing it in the VP debate. I love the way Biden crushed whatshisname last time.

@Butrflynet,
Interesting thought Butrflynet - in a way I would like Elizabeth Warren to run for president herself, but she's not THAT well known yet. As VP she could
gain momento and run in 2020 for president.

Of course, you are right to say that they're much more valuable where they're now, but who knows.....

@CalamityJane,
Warren is my favorite politician. As VP candidate she might clash with Clinton on some issues. Can't have that.

@CalamityJane,
I'm too unhappy with her as our candidate and don't want to employ others I might like.
