@JoeBruno,
Joe, if 160 of your 192 neighbours agreed that a family should move in to the ground floor of your house and make full use of your garden, would you be happy and just sit back and go with the flow?

Just asking.

So have Arabs.

And they have managed to live there in relative peace with each other for a couple thousand years...

...until the creation of the state of Israel.

So what is your point, Joe?

@Lustig Andrei,
A mouthy, self important Scottish gobshite who jumps on any bandwagon in order to self promote, make money or gain power.

He has found that the various Arab causes have served him well over the years.

He is exceptionally clever with words and LOVES making important people look stupid.
If it wasn't for the self serving part of his nature (which is just under the smart arse surface) he would have a little more credibility.

Whenever you see an underdog bandwagon roll past, look closely and you will see good old George furiously running behind, trying to clamber on.

He could have been so much more, if it was not for the fact that he is such a manipulative git.

There will no doubt be many a youtube of him.....

OK, just for arguments sake, let's go along with that and change the scenario slightly, to fit.....

How would you feel if 160 of your 192 neighbours agreed that the family who have been sharing your house and garden should now take over the house entirely, and that you should live in the big shed at the end of the garden? You are then allowed to cultivate the small area of land surrounding your shed, and that any goods delivered to your shed will have to be approved by the family who now have control of the house.

Would you gladly move and happily go with the flow?

Well, no, but I wouldn't try to burn the house down and slaughter everybody in it either.

@Lustig Andrei,
The question was, would you be happy with your lot?

If not, no matter how much on a scale of 1 to 10 that you were unhappy, you are automatically showing some form of empathy with the Palestinian sense of injustice.

What you do about it is entirely another matter. However, people coming on here and blaming the whole thing 100% on the Palestinians, have to ask themselves how they would feel if it happened to their little world, as per above scenario.

People who say that they would be totally happy with the situation would be either tolerant to the extent of stupidity, or lying, imo.

Such a shame that he had that dark side, because if he had as much principled spine as he appeared to have in that Senate appearance, he could have gone on to be a massive force for good in whatever political role he chose.

However, like nearly all politicians, fame, power and possible major trough scofflng come along and......

@JoeBruno,
General Assembly Resolution 181 called for a customs and economic union of the two communities in Palestine, Jewish and Arab. The Zionist governments then and since have never honored the terms of that resolution and have systematically stolen land from the Muslim population and driven them out of the homes in which they and their ancestors had lived for centuries. You are a puling hypocrite. I, personally, don't say that Jews have no right to be there. I do say that almost seventy years of abuse and theft perpetrated by the Zionists against the Muslim population have cause the heartbreak and deaths which have plagued both communities.

Exactly! So, having Jews autonomous is just too much cognitive dissonance for most Gentiles. Jews, like Christians, were second class citizens in Muslim lands. Jews were the property of the prince or king in Christian Europe. How can Jews have the desire to decide their own destiny? What are they Gentiles?

Or, maybe the fact that they suddenly had the power....and it all went slightly to their heads?

Tell me, Foof. Do you think that they have treated the Palestinians fairly, on balance?

You are presupposing that one family is the rightful owner of the house, and the other family was only "sharing" the house. Incorrect anology, since Jews "only valued this one house" for the last 3,000 years. The other family came from the east to conquer all the land surrounding the house and even into North Africa, about 1400 hundred years ago. The timelines are different for each family's knowing the house and the neighborhood.

It might not really matter who had more "homeboys" in the neighborhood in the recent history, since neighborhoods change. Look how the east end of London changed. However, it is still London.

Foofie, my point was that Jews and Arabs lived in relative harmony and peace in that area for thousands of years...and that the harmony and peace is now gone and the two sides are trying to destroy one another.

That all began with the beginning of the Zionist movement...and came into full being with the creation of the state of Israel.

That cannot really be argued...it is fact.

So...the creation of the state of Israel has to be considered the reason for the problems there.

That is my point.

Any different than Northern Ireland? Presbyterians are not giving up their hegemony to the Irish Catholics, regardless of how long Irish Catholics lived in Hibernia. And, like the Palestinians and Israelis, the Prebyterians are Celts also. There are many similarities, even to the fact that the English put the Presbyterians in Northern Ireland. Well, one big difference - the Lord Mayor of Dublin, for many years, was a Jew. I'd like to see that happen with the Palestinians. That might show a not so subtle difference.
