A Hip Hip for the commish and his righteous ruling and a fervent plea for Mini-MM to get better.
That is all.

Anybody doubt Belichick has the refs in his pocket?

@panzade,
Did Cleveland play well? I couldn't watch it here. Lots of teams want to give their leads away.

@Ragman,
Cleveland played well, in fact they couldn't play better. Yes, NE recovered an onside kick with little time left but the subsequent interference call against the Browns was a travesty. A travesty by the way, noted by the game announcers and both sets of analysts.
I expect a culpa mea from the league office.

Set aside the cold, sleet and bad calls by refs...
Osso, Panzade and Cowdoc are 12-2!
No one else will have a chance for winning the week.

@realjohnboy,
It's about time I got more than 7 or so correct. I used to be ok at this, although I've been known to whine.

Next year! Meantime I'm cheered to be in august company.

Reminds me of one of the times I got to meet Cowdoc, an experience those who have met him and the Mrs. recommend highly. It was once when he was in Albuturkey without Mrs. Cowdoc, and Roger and I got him from wherever he was (Forest Service I think) and rustled him over to a cafe in downtown with what I consider excellent ordinary food - sammiches, pastries, jolly enough place but where you could still talk, and so on. Roger and Cdoc talked politics for a while, they being sort of similar, I take it, on stuff, and then Cowdoc and I got into football... we can both talk a blue streak! On leaving, we considered the pastries the Mrs. might like.

Meantime, I picked, after quavering, New Orleans. I'd be happy though if Carolina wins.

@ossobuco,
I remember too the days back when I used to have 10 wins or more. This is a whole different kind of season.

So far this Saints-Panthers game is a good one.

@Ragman,
Gotta go look, I've been making weird-to-me pancakes to freeze for breakfast treats. Well, I'll see about treat. So far they seem to be Dense Continents on Parade.

You know me, I'll probably start a weird pancake thread.

The Redskins have reached a new low.
Their star quarterback holds a news conference and blames the coach for his own bad play and their atrocious record.

In my day Jurgensen and Kilmer would party with us at various watering holes but they would never undermine their coach or point the finger of blame

Word has it that Shanahan will be handed his walking papers tomorrow and the Baylor coach will be hired to handle his former charge, RG III
