@Ragman,
It was before the Sunday night game. So add 1 to the tally if you had the Packers.

@CoastalRat,
well it took you a while to get going, but you sure have gotten it going now. I can't remember anyone in our family ever going undefeated all those years we did this. Congrats big bro!

Week #8 in review...
As a group we were, as I reported earlier, pretty unified in our picks. We agreed on 87% of our choices. We ended up getting 79% of the games right. It was our best outing of the season. Either we're getting smarter or the matchups were easier.
We got beat up a bit in the Steelers @ Raiders game and the Eagles vs Giants match.
Coastal running the table probably is not unprecedented but it is certainly rare. Congratulations to him and to George and Tico for going 12-1. The best ESPN guy was 11-2.

@realjohnboy,
Andy left me his picks for Week #9. Bella Morte is off to Whitby, England for the goth festival. They play on 11/2. This is their 3rd time there and he says it is a beautiful place and a great festival with goths of all ages. And they actually end up making money, in part because of the help of friends they have met over the years.

@ossobuco,
Personally (not that you or anyone asked) I can't see Bills beating the Chiefs. That's all the more reason to go with Bills as an upset over the undefeated consistent Chiefs.

All kidding aside, Chiefs (and any NFL team) can be beaten on any given day.

I really have no love for Smith, KC QB with only 9 TD while having 4 Int at that this stage of the season on an undefeated team. He doesn't float my boat.

Bills still dealing with their green (2 yr) QB Thad Lewis. Furthermore, QB rookie EJ Manuel is out on injury.

@Ragman,

He reminds me of Trent Dilfer. A pedestrian QB traded to a good team who "game-managed" his way to a Super Bowl victory.

@panzade,
I like Alex Smith, I take him as a master of dealing with **** slaps for years and years (I read the chronicle). He's good with a coherent team. I like Kaep whattabod too, so it goes. I go for Kaep, his effulgence, but worry re distraction. How could I say that, he works out near forever, but distraction is in the mind.
