@CoastalRat,
FWIW, I eyed that match over pretty carefully. I came to no real justification or reason to pick them other than my gut. Both teams have played well at times, but neither team seems to be a playoff-bound team, IMHO. I picked the Falcons because at times they've shown a trend to be stronger than Cards.

JEZZ...IT'S A MYSTERY TO ME...
I had to take a couple of days off. I'm okay now. Anyway, I assumed that I wouldn't have to nag laggard players. But no. Two players missed showing up for the Thursday night game.
I'm disappointed.
@ossobuco,
I'm going to take a few days off myself. I'm looking forward to it a bit, after catching a seriously fast-moving pole on the shin below my right knee on Thursday. Pregnancy checking cows on crutches is even less fun than it sounds. Don't know if the tibia is just bruised or cracked (wouldn't make any difference, anyway), but it damned sure don't feel good! Only 350 head scheduled for tomorrow, after which the Miz and I are headed to Idaho Falls to catch a plane to western North Carolina Monday morning, where we are sightseeing until we come home on Halloween. I'll make sure the Miz gets her picks in while we're there, johnboy.
@CowDoc,
I assume you're going to be in the Asheville NC area. You timing should be great for catching the fall colors at their best. The town itself is a lot of fun. I would certainly recommend seeing the Biltmore estate. At least the grounds if not the tour of the house.
Week #8 Preview:
We are in agreement on a whopping 87% of our picks this week. Of course, that figure is skewed by not having Jespah's choices which have tended to be somewhat contrary to the conventional wisdom. We are also missing selections from Mysteryman.
We are unanimous in selecting New Orleans, Kansas City, New England, Denver, San Francisco and Seattle. Only Andy is going against Cincinnati. The Dallas at Detroit and Atlanta at Arizona games are the closest we get to being tossups.
Cowdoc, Ragman and Panzade agree with the majority on every game. Among the leaders, Rhys differs from Kolyo on 4 games and with Cowdoc on 3.
Well, *that* was fun!
Found a new favorite watering hole for watching the Saints games. Jello shots on the house for every touchdown. Erm..... that would be five.

@George,
Wow, wave rat, I don't remember any of us ever getting to perfect..
@ossobuco,
I'm not there yet. Either GB or Sea will probably get upset and screw things up.
@CoastalRat,
The Pack came through.
Let's see what happens tonight.
@Lightning22,
Quote:Take that CoastalRat! Who's the man? Sorry everyone else. Just had to rub it in a little to my big bro.
What were you saying Lightning?? Hmmm? Maybe you should check out the standings now. And which one of us has 2 (I repeat, 2) weekly wins under his belt?
Sorry everyone, my turn to rub it in to my little bro.
Congratulations to CoastalRat on winning Week #8. Regardless of the outcome of tonight's game he will have the best record. He becomes the 1st player to repeat as the weekly champ. George and Tico will finish with just one less win.
I'm left wondering, JPB, about Jello shots. I know I don't get out too much.
@George,
Was this tally counted before the last game of Sunday night or does it include it? I had counted my tally at 9 wins and 3 losses after all the Sunday games ended.
Coastal: congrats on winning and the 11 wins.
