Here is how things might end up after tonight's game.......
If the Giants win, two players will end the week at 10-5.
Ragman has a final score prediction of 24-20 = 44
Kolyo sees it as 24-21 = 45.
Pretty simple.
But if Minnesota wins, there will be seven players tied at 9-6.
Mysteryman is going with 14-3 = 17. He wins if total points are below 19
AndyD guesses 14-7 = 21. He will be hoping that it ends up between 20 & 30
Rhys thinks it will be 31-10 = 41. He is good if the score is between 32 & 42
Ragman has it 24-20 = 44. He controls the tiny bit of turf twixt 43 & 44
Kolyo and George have the final as being 24-21 = 45. Their range is between 45 and 50
JPB is high with of prediction of 35-12 = 57. Anything above 51 total would make her happy.
I'm dizzy.
We have the Giants winning, by the way, with 10 of us choosing them vs 9 votes for the Vikes.

I made up rules for that kind of situation a few years ago when JPB offered to take over running this for a season. I warned her that having just one tiebreaker might not work given the increasing number of players.
We settled on something like this:
1- Player closest to the total number of points scored
2- Player closest to the number of points scored by the winning team
3- Player closest to the number of points scored by the losing team
4- Player closest to the number of points scored by the home team
5- Player closest to the number of points scored by the visiting team
(I'd have to do some research on 2 through 5)
and I am quite proud of
6- Player who is lower ranked in the standings.

I was rooting for him and hoped he'd resurface with some excellent flashes ... but that was butt ugly. That team sucks (except for one Hall of Fame RB named Freeman). However, NY Giants suck, too. They just suck a little less.

Not only that, I switched my choice from the Colts to Denver. (I'm going to have to go stand in the corner)

Don't fault yourself over that choice. Before the game started, logic and performance trends showed that to be a reasonable guess. Everyone under the sun (just about) underestimated the Colts.

The problem is for Peyton since he was hit by Mathis on his blindside, whether or not his arm and his neck are still OK. He clearly lost some velocity and accuracy after that hit. There were quite a few wobbly and fluttering passes after that hit.

This weekend Denver Broncos face Washington no-name?s in Denver. Lots of doubt on my part about which way to go with my pick there.

Uh oh, I didn't know that.

I thought the Colts had a good chance, given some rickety defense in the Broncos games, but chickened out on picking them.
