I would have to disagree with this statement.
Most people I know, including all of the "white folks", dont care.
If my child is happy, and if the spouse treats my child decent and makes them happy, I dont care what race the other person is.
For you to say that "most white folks" do care about that shows that you have a very narrow mind, and that you are more concerned about race instead of who people actually are.
You are the bigoted one.
Please show me the statistics that most white parents do not care if a child marries out of the race. Many parents, possibly a majority, might even prefer their children to marry within the same religion (i.e, Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, etc.)
However, being a bigot as a private citizen is not wrong in the U.S.A., as long as I do not act out any bigotry in an unlawful manner. I may give all the Jews I meet a red lollipop, and not give any lollipops to people of other faiths; that is my right to discriminate in a lawful manner.
Actually, I would give a red lollipop to all Republicans; none to Democrats; regardless of religious affiliation.
Also, as a Jew, am I supposed to show that I am not anti-German by visiting Germany, rather than bypass it on some vacation (that I do not go on anyway). I believe I have every right to avoid Germany, and its native citizens, based on my awareness of history. Now do not assume that is blaming today's generation of native Germans for the Holocaust. It is my way to say, wait 500 or so years (a la the Spanish Inquisition) to have Jews feel comfortable in Germany. Just a lesson about how elephants and Jews do not forget.
