There is so much to see and do right here in the US, that I often wonder why so many Americans feel the need to travel abroad.
(I know you arent an American, but the comparison is appropriate, btw)
I have traveled to all 50 states, and seen things that most Americans dont even know exist.
Its a shame how little Americans know about their own country.
I have been in Wyoming, where the deer and the elk are grazing so close to the road you can touch them.
How many Americans have been to Independence Rock, in Wyoming?
There are names carved into that rock that date back to the mid 1800's, when the first settlers were moving west.
Or south Pass, where the debris from those wagon trains still litters the ground, from settlers having to dump stuff to make their wagons lighter.
How many Americans have seen a bald eagle dancing on the breeze in the rockies, or tasted water from a spring in the desert that even in summer will take your breath away because its so cold.
I could go on for another 3 pages about the things this country has to see and do, but I think I have made my point.
