@dlowan,
Smiling to read about this. I can picture it. But an actual picture would be even better.

Happy news. Good for V & S . Model behavior on your very own catwalk.

Now, Deb, be honest. Did you ever picture yourself perambulating with a cat in a pram? Oh the things we do for love!

Never! I still can't believe it.....but it works.

Do you think I venture out like that when there's enough light for a photo?!

Alright, an oil painting, then. But you better paint quickly!

Logic smogic.

If cat's can get by without it, so can we.
Maybe employ the look adorable strategy.

Walk tall. Hold your head up proudly. Stride under the bright shining sun. And send us a steenkin' picture.

Funny piece of Viola behaviour.

She is less athletic by far than Sebastian.....he can leap to great heights and balance on tiny things. However, sometimes she sees him do stuff and becomes determined to be able to do it too.

She does this in small stages.....concentrating hard.....in a way that always makes me think of little kids struggling to master things, with their tongues out a little bit with the effort.

The last couple of weeks she has set herself to mastering getting up on the teeny windowsill of Sebastian's favourite window. To get up there, he leaps from the toilet seat to the top of the cistern and then on to the ledge.

Viola practised in stages....first getting on the seat, then onto the cistern, then standing up with her paws on the ledge, then teetering on the ledge, finally sitting up there with confidence and loving it.

Sebastian then began leaping from the ledge to the top of the shower screen to the top of some shelves I have beside the shower, where he loves to lie on top of the towels I have there. He can actually leap straight from the ground, but likes the other way better.

Now Viola has begun standing on the window ledge trying to stretch up to the top of the shower screen. I know the next stage is going to be tough....I wonder if she'll get there?

@ehBeth,
Man...that walk was way too eventful!

Firstly, the back fell off, just as we were as far away as we were going to get.

A back wheel, to clarify. Luckily it went back on.

Then, a bit later, Sebastian tripped me up. I fell over. The trolley fell over. I was so shocked that Sebastian pulled the lead out of my hands. And the keys fell out and away into the outer darkness.

Also, what with exercise and all, nature was shrieking.

And I do mean bellowing.

Luckily, Sebastian was yelling for his mummy, so he was easy to find. Viola was confused but cheerful. I managed to find the keys.

We are all home.

@dlowan,
Ouch. Very glad you're all safely home. And good that Sebastian cried for his mom. Finding a black cat on a dark night would have been a challenge. Viola was probably amused by the slapstick.

@nextone,
She's amused by SOMETHING! she's on the gad....Sebastian is exhausted.

Lol! Sebastian is being exhausted in the trolley....viola is happily tormenting him.

@dlowan,
I'm glad you're all home. Were you hurt in the fall? I worry. Shrieking nature makes me noivous.

This was definitely beyond an oy vey adventure. I'm giving it an oy gevalt.

@dlowan,
Sorry to hear about the knee.

For the past four or five years, my primary daily goal (which I actually think about) is not to fall down. I used to aim higher. The bunny shouldn't be falling down either.

I love dem woollies, but sometimes they're a pain in the ass.

I hope that this doesn't discourage you from future perambulations.

boo hiss on the sore knee

life lesson from night-time dog walks in the city - always carry at least one tiny mag light (2 is better)
