I've got two house rabbits, a male and a female.
Both neutered and spayed, boy is amazing temperament, girl is far from it. She hates people, she's scared to death of just about everything and she's really cruel and domineering with the male.
Recently I've noticed that whenever anyone pets the male, she's pulling out his fur, particularly around his eyes which now looks really sore. I'm not sure if this is to do with her not liking the scent on him?
I don't know what to do as my male is now quite withdrawn and very submissive, he was my pet first and I only got the female as I was advised that they needed to be socialised. I'm a dedicated pet owner and I'm not looking for an easy way out, but I feel like after a year of having her I'm running out of options and I don't want the males quality of life to be compromised.
Can anyone offer me advice?
@LDW2205,
Swap the female rabbit for a guinea pig. I don't profess to be an expert, but the one and only female rabbit we've ever had was the pet from hell. The only thing it had time for was the dog. Everyone else was fair game. The most bad tempered female I've ever encountered, apart from my Nan when she was disturbed during her Sunday afternoon siestas.
