@Roberta,
Ok for walking...bad to kneel on. Its amazing how often you have to kneel.

I think Sebastian has begun weeing in bad places!!! Oh the horror! I have twice found him vainly trying to cover wees. the first time I thought he had found one of Viola's because it was a Viola situation...ie the wee occurred on a shiny magazine that had slipped to the floor. Last night it was in a similar sort of corner, but no magazine.

I think he's agitated because the cat next door comes into our yard and he is desperate to assert his territory, but can't. Sigh.

Oddly, we met that cat in the vacant block on our walk and he chased her with my assistance.

Seeing a vet on Saturday who does holistic as well as normal vet stuff...will ask her advice. Using Feliway diffuser and Miranda's old nerve drops.

There's ways that having his life so enriched has backfired in that he is now frustrated by what he can see but only access upon occasion.

Sometimes think I should just let him out and take his chances.

NO!NO! Cats let out live drastically shortened lives, at least in the States, and I have no reason to think it would be different in Oz--like only two or three years. They also are little murderers of birds, even when they don't want to eat them. We couldn't bear it if something happened to Sebastian A certain amount of frustration is good for the soul--it builds strength of character ( I have no idea whether that's actually true, but it sounds good).

(That's three years total life span, not two or three years off a normal cat life span. It's dangerous out there).

@margo,
The younger generation of cats is no damn good! This never happened years ago!

@dlowan,
I blame the permissive parenting. Cats these days just let their kittens to anything. No accountability, no responsibility.
I once saw a cat whose kittens started climbing and jumping all over her.
What did she do?.....
Nothing!

@dlowan,
So how's by you, deb? Is your knee OK? Have you resumed your perambulations?

@Roberta,
Knee ok except when i use it. it is mainly numb from compressed nerve. aI am well able to perambulate but still in mucho pain.

Got diagnosed today....torn ligament in rib. Apparently a bugger for pain ( I AGREE) but only to be cured by time and refraining from lifting etc. treatment I had today helped and I got heavier duty painkillers.

C'est la vie.

Sorry you're in a bad way. Phooey on falling and hurting and pain.

It sounds to me that you're taking care of yourself, so I'm not gonna tell you to. I am gonna tell you that I'm putting my hoper in high gear for you. No pain. Fast healing.

@ossobuco,
I went to an osteopath yesterday and feel a LOT better! Yay!

Woollies being impossible.

Yesterday I gave them a tin of MY great tuna, because they'd been moaning about the special food for Sebastian's tummy I had been feeding them.

Turned their bloody noses up at it.....

Fed them normal food tonight.....turned their bloody noses up at that! Gonna be hungry woollies tonight, oh yeah.

Which likely means there'll be a repeat of the three am mad cat gallops I was tormented by this morning. My bed is always the centre of these hijinks. They're nuts because my torn ligament has caused a pause in our nightly walks. A pause created by Sebastian! Little shits.

close the door when you really need to get some restful sleep.

can they be kept in a part of the house that is far enough away from you that you won't hear them thumping and chirping?

Very sorry about your injury. My girlfriend is an athletic trainer (not to brag but she works with some sports celebs). If you have any questions I wouldn't mind asking her.

Are your woolies leash trained?
