Abba in foreground, Ami, his niece in background. We’ve had over 48 inches of snow this winter and there is nothing more beautiful than watching them stand guard with the snow all around. It is like some sort of gene kicks in once it snows and throws them into alert mode.

Aja, portfolio smile.

Happy, whom I suspect for taking a loaf of bread from the kitchen counter last night. None of my Kuvasz has ever done that and Hannah is much less bold a dog than Happy.

@Swimpy,
Just one cat these days, Swimpy.

And I keep meaning to do the photographing, then posting thing .... pressing issues get in the way. Yeah, pathetic, I know.

But I'm enjoying everyone else's photographs immensely! Smile

Gorgeous tabby you've go there, shewolf. Smile

@msolga,
Pearl- she loves the snow and ice - she hops like a kangaroo through it (the snow) and smiles

These two are beautiful. Their coats are so thick. Do you have to thin them out in the summer?

@aidan,
Beautiful thread, full of our 4-legged friends pix. Especially loved the pix of Dys and his dog.

Aidan, I usually get the coat of each kuvasz cut in late May-early June to the length of the hair on a laborador retriever. By September they are woolly again.

my dad and Snoopy (40 some years ago)

http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr73/djjd1962/daddog.jpg

he was the runt of the litter, and grew to be a huge dog (his mother had been a police dog), we had lots of property but lived on a busy highway, and no chain could hold him, eventually we had to give him up, he went to a really rural farm about 2 hours away from us and had a great life (got to see him a few times)
