The English have submerged their dignity under socialism & gun control.

Its sad.
They never had any dignity... They never had any laws they could not trample all over... Their constitution was never written because everyone knew it was a dead letter... Even the Magna Carta was disallowed by the Church as soon as the king got free of his Knights... Only water has saved those people from the distruction they deserve... Look at it... It is a powerhouse of wealth, of capital; and its people are all third world, uneducated, and mostly incapable of speaking English... But their rich have money, and money invested everywhere... Like Conally said of Ireland: If you raised the Green flag tomorrown Britain would still rule you through her banks and counting houses... And she does... And us too.

@Fido,
Fido, People like waterboy can't see the dichotomy of what they are doing. They are cutting services for all Americans while they will fight to the death women's right to an abortion. They want to see all pregnancy brought to term, but they don't want any responsibility to take care of them.

Their hypocrisy is palpable.

This president is digging a pretty deep hole for the next election. Gas too high? Use less. Buy a bike. Meanwhile he jets across the country for fundraisers while the American people can't even afford to take a vacation this summer. Four more years.

@Renaldo Dubois,
RD, Do you understand economics? Why are you blaming Obama for the high gas prices? Please detail your reasons, because your ability to blame this president has no basis in fact or reason, and based on ignorance.

If you're able to make such a blatant charge that Obama is the cause of higher gas prices, please explain how that works?

@cicerone imposter,
I'm using the same logic and reasoning the left used when gas prices rose when Bush was President. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2708939/posts

Why, of course. It is whatever you say it is. Something like "depends on what the meaning of "is" is. Yeah, that's it.

@Renaldo Dubois,
No, it's what educated people say. Here's they're saying from Wharton.

Quote:
Crude Reality: Why High Oil Prices Are Here to Stay
Published: March 16, 2011 in Knowledge@Wharton

Oil prices swung wildly this week, rising to near 30-month highs after Saudi Arabia sent troops to Bahrain, then plummeting to less than $100 a barrel on expectations that an earthquake-ravaged Japan would demand less oil.

The ride is not over yet, say economists and Wharton professors: There may be ups and downs, but long term, high oil prices are here to stay. On top of volatility caused by natural catastrophes and political upheavals, a tight oil supply and increasing demand promise to keep driving prices up steadily over time. Prices could fluctuate between $60 to $200 a barrel, but probably will not go back to $30 or $50 anytime soon, says Wharton management professor Witold Henisz. Higher prices "are going to be part of the environment for the next few years. There just isn't a lot of surplus oil."

Supply and demand are just part of the equation: Fear of a future squeeze also drives prices higher than they should be. That is not good news for a fragile economy struggling to reemerge from a crippling recession, but most experts are not predicting a double-dip just yet. That would require a sustained period of oil prices north of $125 a barrel -- or another disaster in an oil-rich part of the world.

@cicerone imposter,
So Bush was to blame in 2008 for high gas prices, but Obama isn't to blame in 2011 for high gas prices. Why do people like ABC, CBS, MSNBC and other media spew this crap? They wouldn't be biased, would they?

@Renaldo Dubois,
I never claimed Bush was responsible for higher gas prices, and I'm not buying what you're trying to sell about Obama.

Wrong information from either perspective for higher gas prices is based on ignorance; blaming Bush was wrong, and transferring that same nonsense against Obama is just stupid.

@spendius,
CNN, MSNBC and other media outlets helped her spread the lie that Bush and Cheney were responsible for high gas prices in 2008. I don't hear her saying that now in 2011. I think she got fired for that and her numerous other lies. Obama will get fired next year.
