I would guess they bring the one surviving RI person back after the merge - that way it could switch the game up.

I guess that would be okay, but would there still be more players sent to RI after the merge? If so, more than one would be put back into the game, which, in my opinion, would spice things up.

I'm keeping my eye on the firefighter woman (sorry, can't remember her name). I think she did a nice flip to help vote out Russell in the end, even though Russell and his 2 helpers tried to win her over to vote with their side.

Yes. I got his name wrong...it's Grant, not Brandt lol. He's an ex-NFL player and current Yoga instructor. If he's as strong mentally as he is physically, he has a good shot -- except, of course his physical prowess could put a huge target on his back if he makes it past the merge.

I hope Russell gets knocked off RI before jury!

Awwww. I like Russel. I think they made a huge mistake voting him off.

I doubt they'll bring anyone back until after the merge because if they sent them back to their own team they'd just get voted off again right away. If they bring them back after the merge it will be a trick to see who they align with since both tribes will woo the person to their side.

Yes, you make a good point.

Does anyone think there will be any more players sent to RI after the merge?

@Reyn,
RI after the merge is an interesting twist. It remains to be seen whether it will happen.

BTW, I caught up with the episode late. Really enjoyed it.

After the merge, they usually start filling the jury so I doubt any go to RI.

Hmm, if that's the case, slightly disappointing for me that only one person gets to back into the game.

Temptest in a teapot? After all, they did hype it quite a bit.

I guess it's somewhat of a twist, but more could be done with it.

@McGentrix,
Throwing them in at the merge would be the perfect time. The RI person probably still resents the old tribe mates for voting them off and s/he doesn't have a solid alliance in the other tribe. The RI person becomes a swing vote so everyone has suck up to them, or they are the one person who everyone wants to get out of the way because there is no loyalty.

@Green Witch,
I was thinking if Russell makes it to that stage - he'd likely get voted out. No one seems to like him or trust him on either tribe.

It's extremely obvious that Philip is a taco short of a combination platter. I can't help but wonder if the producers aren't slipping Rob $20s to make sure Philip doesn't get voted off before the entertainment value ends. I was glad to see Russell go (man tears and all) and I was surprised to see Hairy Hillbilly give up all his secrets. I had more faith in him than that. I think Rob better be careful or his minions are going to turn on him when he least expects it. I finally noticed Grant - he's hot.

Well, I, too, was glad to see Russell go.

What was entertaining in the first 2 seasons he was in, was okay, but got old in this one. As far as I'm concerned, he's played a stupid game with this round, and should have done something no other players would anticipate. In the end, he became predictible, which ended up with his demise on the show.

I'm finding Rob very conniving and a good watch. Clever how he set up the finding of the latest idol, I thought.

Now this Phillip, what an utter nutcase! And, I'm beginning to believe, that it's not an act, but he's really like this! If I hear one more time about "his time as a federal agent", I will honestly puke. He is wearing real thin.

So, it is looking like the winner of the duels at RI will be going back at the merge. Matt's still there, and now joined by the newest person. Okay, it'll be interesting how this will play out in the new dynamics of a merge. Whose side will they join? How will it be decided? Will anyone else go to RI after the merge?

These and more questions should make it a good watch, I hope. Maybe more twists?

They definitely need to show more of him Smile

So, who do we think will win the next duel? Christina or Matt? I've really been enjoying the duel challenges.

Yeah, I thought they've been well done.

The last one, with Russell and Matt, the block-setting-up thing, was a good one. Could have gone either way.

So, I think it's fair to all and not just a pure physical kind of duels. In other words, I really don't believe you can predict the outcome.

Who would I like to win? In the latest case, Christina, just so it bugs Phillip, should he still be there when she gets back in. Laughing

@Reyn,
And then Phillip gets the boot and he and Christina get to be chums on RI. I sorta had hoped Russell would win - as when the merge happened and Russell came back, it would be interesting to see. Seeing Russell would not be a fan of anyone (unless Russell's girls were still around).

You really think so? I kind of got the impression that while Christina somewhat tolerated Phillip, she didn't actually like him.

Phillip has been known for saying one thing, and doing another - rather a loose cannon. I don't think he could be trusted.

@Reyn,
I finally caught up with the most recent episode. I'm stunned that Rob still seems to be in control. And he managed to find the immunity idol on a constipation break. Whatta guy.

I knew that Ralph would ace that tool-using challenge.

Philip is nuts. I'm amazed he's still there.

I think Matt has been very lucky to win both challenges. In the jail break his first attempts at making a pole were pathetic. He was behind by two keys when Francesca choked on her last key.

On the second challenge Matt went first and missed and had to reset half of his blocks. Russel should have used that huge time advantage to double check his spacing.

My guess is that Matt will not be so lucky a third time.

Laughing Oh, okay!

I do think the show has been doing a good job on the RI duels. Skill and speed type challenges.
