Yes, me, too! I was a little worried with the puzzle, but it all turned out well.

With the coin balancing, it was really close between Fabio and Sash, as both stacks were teetering. It's just that Sash's fell first. Yay!! Wink Laughing

I hated Chase's singing as well. He shouldn't quit his day job, should he have one.

I didn't expect the jury vote of 5 to 4 for Fabio. I thought he should have had more votes. Alinia's answer was really lame, claiming he was too young to win the million. If he was old enough to be on the show, he was old enough to win the money! Mad By the way, I thought Fabio looked great with the new haircut at the reunion show!

Redemption Island -- not sure what to think. I could see the need for some hardcore strategizing on who goes when. They've done a similar gimmick before with Outcasts, but this time the players will know it's coming. And did I miss the location announcement???

Yes, I don't remember the location of the next show either. Did they not announce it?

The Redemption Is idea sounds intriguing, and I remember that concept from the Outcasts show. I think it will add another dimension to the future shows. Sometimes I feel a bit frustered when someone (in my opinion) gets voted off too early, like Jill for example. At least they'll have a chance to get back in.

Also, did you catch Jeff's announcement in the reunion show about the change in the rules, re: putting someone in the jury, should they have quit? Now, it's optional if the show wants them there or not.

By the way, I noticed that Jill (the ER doctor) was not at the reunion show. Probably, I presume, her work interferred with the show. Did anyone else notice any other players not being there?

@Reyn,
They always make a big deal of announcing the new location, complete with previews, etc. I think the reason they didn't do that this time is because they're not going anywhere. Season 22 is also going to be Survivor Nicaragua -- same beach, even.

Since the new season starts in less than two months, they're probably done filming and doing the editing now. Gonna seem like year-round Survivor lol.

I didn't think of that. Has that been done before? Using the same location?

@Reyn,
They've done back to back seasons in the same location a couple of times. They stayed in the Pearl Islands and filmed All Stars and there was only a 2 or 3 week turn around for Heroes vs. Villains after Survivor Samoa.

So, now I'm wondering if we'll see some retreads on Redemption Island since it would follow the pattern. I don't think the cast has been announced yet...or it may have been on the CBS website, but that site crashes my computer on this browser and I'm too lazy to switch lol. We'll know pretty soon, though.

@Reyn,
Here's a very good (and funny) recap of the past season. Many of his opinions of this season's contestants mirror my own and at the end of the article he does a great job of ranking all the seasons from best-to-worst. I only disagree with him on Australia...I thought that was a great season...lots of drama, humor, hardship, and emotional conflict. It was brutal lol....vicious girl-fights, backstabbing, and then that poor guy (he was really one of the nicest there) fell into the fire and burned his hands off.

The Right Person Won...

I've seen those but forgot! Laughing

I enjoyed reading the article by Ross. Good detail in it to catch me up on the seasons that I've missed. Does anyone agree with the way he's laid out the good to bad seasons?

Regular readers know how much I hate the Fallen Comrades montage.

I, too, dislike this part of the show, and consider it just to be a "filler". It really is quite insincere some of the comments made by those who are remaining in the game.

In case anyone missed this from my post above, I was hoping others could confirm that only Jill was missing.

Isn't that Jill sitting in the first seat, middle row, all the way on the left? I count 20 people in this photo (minus Jeff) and that is how many they started with.

@Green Witch,
Wow, thanks for the photo!

I guess it could be Jill, although I don't remember her being interviewed. She looks a bit different there, as in her hair appears a different shade of colour.

Thanks again!

@Reyn,
First look at the Season 22 castaways. Among them, there are 2 military vets, 2 former NFL players and 2 beauty pageant contestants. In addition to these 16, there are 2 yet to be named, but I think (from the promo) it's Boston Rob and Russell, who will be 'team captains' on Survivor - Redemption Island.

My early impressions from these short vids: I'd give Mike Chiesl and Phillip Sheppard good odds. I think Steve Wright may be booted early for the same reason Jimmy J. was. Matt Elrod = Fabio 2 lol. Just from her video, I think Ashley Underwood may be booted early and although I loved Francesca Hogi's video, I think her 'mean girl' comment could become a factor in her game play (maybe not in a good way).

I'm probably way off lol. Set the DVRs! Season 22 starts 2/16.

@Irishk,
Hi K! Thanks for the links to the new contestants.

I'm going to be watching Julie Wolfe and Kristina Kell very closely. They both strike me as players with a lot of potential.

Is this the video that you're referring to? It pretty much spells it out.

I'm really looking forward to this next season!

@Reyn,
Not that one, but at the end of last season's finale there was a promo that if watched frame by frame, showed both Russell and Rob returning (although the network tried to blur them). CBS said there would be two past contestants coming back, but so far haven't revealed their names. Ahahaha...we know anyway.
