Survivor Nicaragua--Old v. Young

You actually can get attached to a chicken. We had Henriette for years because she was special. She liked to be around people and would follow us as we worked in the garden. She liked to sit up on the kitchen window sill and watch us putter around much as we watched her. She cooed and clucked when she saw one of us coming her way even if we did not have the grain bucket. All her barnyard biddies and relatives became our food, but she was always spared. We joked about having to buy her a walker when she was too old to get around easily and forage. She died a quiet death on top of a rain barrel when she was an elderly 5 years of age. We all cried.

I think they are going to try and blindside Sash to get the idol out of play. He really could use some food.

That would be a smart move against Sash. I can't figure out why they're ignoring Chase. He killed that reward challenge, even Jeff said it was near flawless. I don't think they know he has Na's immunity idol, though.

I'm all for Sash being their priority.

I'm sure you could get attached to any animal - just seems odd when you are starving and in such a short period of time that you would act the way she did. She's a fruit cake

Sash knows - he said he was upset when Na gave the idol to Chase because he thought he was closer to her.

Seriously? Chase said he wasn't gonna tell anybody lol. Ya know, as much as we laugh at Fabio for being clueless, Chase is pulling some dumb stunts.

I thought I heard Sash mention that. Maybe Chase felt comfortable telling him that because Sash has an idol.

I think I prefer the earlier seasons of Survivor -- before they brought in the gimmicky stuff like the hidden immunity idols, etc. Except for that one season with Exile Island...the one that was covered in snakes. LOL I'd have never been able to close my eyes in that place.

Looking forward to tonight's episode, with the wrap-up and reunion showing this coming Sunday. Should be an exciting finish!

I'm still not certain how it will end.

I'm am now so hoping Fabio/Jud aces the next immunity challenge. Dan was the Trojan horse of the vote, what was he thinking? Sash or Chase could have neutralized a vote against Holly by handing her an idol before the counting, but they both just wanted to save their own scrawny asses. Did I see that Holly voted for Sash? Did she think Chase was going to give her his idol and that way Jane would still get sent home? What am I missing here. I think Jane is going to get the $100,000 from viewers, even if people are just voting for her dogs.

Yay! Fabio has this in the bag - all he has to do is win a couple more challenges (he can do it!) and game over!

Holly voted for Jane...they all did lol (Chase didn't really need to but he's not too bright and now Jane will make sure the jury hears all about it).

Funny moment when they showed that rat gnawing on the fruit while they were listing all the players Chase has backstabbed. Intentional?

Definitely rooting for Fabio.

Why didn't he, Jane, and Dan get together and vote as a block. They could have at least caused a tie.

I'm finding this season frustrating and mystifying. I don't know what, or if, these people are thinking.

Looking forward to Sunday. I'm curious to see whether anyone voices a reaction to what Nae said on camera when no one else was around. I wonder if she still has a job working with kids.

Everybody voted for Jane? Huh?

Jane voted for Sash...who had an immunity idol? Huh?

I did think it was a bit over-the-top for Jane to say she never backstabbed anyone. She never once shut up about taking Marty down. Remember that?

So, if Sash, Chase, and Holly vote as a block, they could potentially take down Fabio and Dan. Fabio has to win the next 2 challenges. It's a bit of a longshot. Of course it depends on the challenges.

Chase is terrible with puzzles, so he may flub it.

That was odd. The only thing I can think of is it may have gotten a lot more heated at TC than what was shown and she did it as a 'protest' vote.

For Fabio's sake, I hope the last challenge is endurance.

Remember though that Fabio had been wanting to take Jane out for a long time. He didn't like Jane and didn't want to go to the finals with her. I thought he might change his mind just to break up the Sash/Chase/Holly alliance after Jane suggested it at tribal.

It really surprised me that after suggesting Holly to the others that she turned around and voted Sash. If Fabio and Dan had taken her up on the suggestion she would have killed it with the Sash vote so there wouldn't have been a tie.

And what makes it even sweeter is Jane's gone and there's no blowback on him, whereas Jane will remain bitter about her alliance's betrayal when it's time to vote for the winner. No way she could vote for Sash or Holly to win and the only way I could see her voting for Chase is if he's up against Dan.

Chase, I think, has made the same fatal mistake that Russell made in alienating the jury towards the end. And, it didn't have to happen. Marty was right when he said Chase was as dumb as a box of hammers lol.

Yeah - I'd agree - Sash and Chase are playing dumb - like you said they could have given Holly the immunity idol and then more likely sealed their fate and at least give them a bit more in the interity category which neither is their strong suit. Loved when Fabio won.

I believe Jane voted for Sash.

I wondered the same thing - I think Fabio would be the only one that could beat Jane in the final.

What did Nae say? I missed that.

My guess - if Fabio wins the immunity idol, Sash and Chase will talk to the others and vote out Holly - she has a better shot at winning over Sash and Chase - heck they just back stabbed Jane, I'd imagine they'd rather go with Dan to the finals than Holly.

Anybody who goes to the finals with Holly would lose to her, I think.

Alayna, Purple Kelly, Brenda, Na, Jane, Benry, Marty -- that's the jury. Jane has a grudge against Holly but I don't think any of the others really do.

I think Fabio is going to start lobbying for Holly right away knowing he could beat the remaining three at the final tribal.
