As i have stated before, atheism is not a religion, it is lack thereof!

Atheism requires rock-solid faith that there is no god.

What is the motivation for atheism?

being around people of another religion does not make you an expert on the subject, furthermore i don't think you have been around too many people with the belief in the gods that i have before mentioned!

Think what you wish.

Fact is I've lived and operated on four continents. I have interacted with people from many different religions.

Being in the US Military, you meet and interact with people who believe in the religions you mentioned. In many cases, you visit their countries and while there, you see their sacred sites.

This is a childish strategy, that i have seen before many times.

When ever i present my knowledge, when it exceedes that of the person to whom i am talking to, that person may call me a "KNOW IT ALL".

It's not a strategy. It's a fact.

If you speak as an authority, you either are an authority based on study, experience, or training; or you are not.

A term used to identify someone who is an authority on comparative religions is theologian. I was simply asking you if you were one.

The fact that someone who is on the receiving end of a communication can choose to interpret a communication in any way they wish doesn't change the communicator's message or intent.

People can choose to ignore truth.

if that is the case why do you think your interpretation is any more correct than anyone elses?

what do you mean "speak as authority"? You're getting rather vague!

and i asked if you were one! The simple truth is that you don't need to be a theologian to know something about religion!

What religions did i mention? I don't think you even know! I mentioned celtic, nordic, egyptian, and Incan gods ....religions that no longer exist! So unless you find someone who believes in Thor or Dadga i am calling you an outright liar!

Not believing in something requires no faith! just as it doesn't take any faith to not believe in Santa Claus or flying lepprechauns or dragons, get my point?

What is the motivation for atheism?

I have no motivation except to seek the truth, and unlike you I realize that I don't know the absolute truth, none of us will untill we die!

because some freedoms like freedom of speech are easy to promote, untill your life is on the line....

many people were afraid to post comics criticizing Muhammad and his followers.....that is freedom of the press and freedom of speech are you gonna let fear prevent you from expressing your right to free speech? I sure as hell won't! It's fear that gives them their power!

What is a terrorist who cannot encite terror in his victims?

Fine. Prove it. Draw a cartoon showing Mohammad's head on a dog or pig. Then go to downtown Detroit, hang it around your neck, and walk around a while. See what happens later.

No, just the American Communist Lawyer Union. As, my pappy, used to say....if you want to see where someone is going, simply look at where they have been.

In 1967, the ACLU successfully argued against state bans on interracial marriage, in the case of Loving v. Virginia

2000 to present
In a 2002 letter, the ACLU stated that it "opposes child pornography that uses real children in its depictions," but that material "which is produced without using real children, and is not otherwise obscene, is protected under the First Amendment.

Do you know how to read?

If you do, then you can read and interpret for yourself. I suggest you do try to read the Bible. Then read the other "sacred texts" and see which stacks up against your gut.

Matthew 25:31-34, "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world."

That is certainly not a valid reason, this is probably so because you know your own religion's book much much better than that of other religions. Also comparing that which you were raised with to that which is new to you would bring about much bias in your decision.

A lot you know. There are many people throughout the world who believe in the religions you maintain are dead. I've met them. There is actually a resurgence of those religions in the countries of their origin and in offshoots in other countries. You need to get out more, go to strange and interesting places and meet the people.
